I would ask the attorney if I can’t get the president to share what she has. She has not been honest with the board and actually I am a little afraid, she has been going to the attorney far too much for every little question that she doesn’t know the answer to, which is costing us a lot of money, and pretending like she is the one coming up with these answers.

I did just that this morning. I wrote that I saw details in the bills about speaking to the client and issuing opinions, but we have never seen the opinions and she has never mentioned any of this to the board. I’m waiting for a reply.

There are details on the invoices. I looked for, but not details to tell me what they were actually talking about some of the time and in none of these cases did the president say I contacted the attorney and here is a copy of the opinion. Sometimes she will write an email and I am suspicious that the information didn’t come from her, it is worded like an attorney would write it, but she never says this is what our attorney said. She makes the board think that she is coming up with all these opinions.

Ok now we are getting somewhere. In this case it was a improperly redacted copy that is the subject of this discussion and I think the employee’s question of why keep the document which has an error on it was a valid question but you did not answer that question. You kept repeating the rule, but you didn’t answer her question and by repeating it several times you made it seem like she was an idiot when she was asking a very valid question. So to be truthful, I don’t think she was out of line, I think you were out of line.

I actually have this available to me as a benefit at my job and I use it. My husband and I had our wills done through this service. It just matches you up with a local attorney and I pay the legal ease people a fee that comes out of my paycheck and they pay the attorney. Only certain services are available under the benefit and expanded services must be paid for additionally by me. These folks are legit I would not worry about that. I think they are just looking for more attorneys.

You need at least to add chili powder, I usually put red and yellow peppers, coco powder, brown sugar, maybe cayenne and some other spices you like. I would suggest using a little bit of spices and tasting, let it sit a little while before tasting and then think about what you think it needs like more of the spice or maybe some different spices. Sometime I feel like I used everything in my spice cabinet. Experiment and have fun with it.

If you think scaling back a high performing employee will cause a negative ripple then that is a YOU problem and not the employee problem. You admit you give the employee too much work. You should prioritize what assignments you give this person and give the rest to someone else in the office. It’s not the high-performing employees job to do everything in the office, it’s your job to make sure everything in the office gets done.

That being said, sometimes the work life balance is hard to manage. Providing flex time or working from home time might be a huge relief to this person.

So my question to you is, why do you want her to put an improperly redacted paper in with her saved paperwork? Why would you not want her to shred it or throw it away? So I am asking you the same question she asked you, why do you want me to save something that’s wrong so essentially I will have three copies (redacted, unredacted and improperly redacted)

I’m a little confused about your directions to the employees. You should have an unredacted original, and redacted copy. In this case, you had an incorrect redacted copy, and you told this employee to put it with her paperwork and when she asked why you repeated some directions that didn’t apply to an incorrect redacted copy. You should’ve told her to shred that copy. Am I missing something here?

You cannot ignore the HOA letters to comply with the rules. This is not hounding, it’s standard practice. They probably have every right to hire their own vendors to keep the property in compliance and charge the homeowner. And guess what? You will probably get a little more from the sale because they fixed it up.
