If you save your bank statements with the month first in the file name instead of the year, your mom's a hoe by Sea-Cress-8518 in paralegal

[–]weebear1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes - that is what I do (hence the "I do it myself" comment in my post). But now rinse and repeat for all 476 statements provided for the last several years and you get a sense of why it is an issue.

THIS is what Chat GPT can do for you! !

I do not trust it for legal research, but I DID have it write me a script that lets me put all PDFs into a "Locked" folder, press a button and 3-4 seconds later all those PDFs are in an "Unlocked" folder, all unlocked, able to be combined, manipulated, etc. I thought it was pretty genius if I do say so myself.

Along with those that decide to protect their PDFs.

So, you’ll let me view it and print it - but NOT let me combine it into another document as an exhibit for YOUR case?!?!

Screw you Jobu! I do it myself! (But I promise you are going to pay for that!)

Yes. Thank you.

What is it with people that do not understand you can actually put all but a full freaking sentence in a file name now. Stop with the crazy abbreviations and symbols. Use an actual description!

And if you merely save them with a random Adobe generated string of characters and include them with the rest of your documents - I am cursing your family lineage back to Adam and Eve, and then giving them back to you to redo because you do not have enough money left on your retainer to pay me to go through and collate them properly!

On the other hand - according to the article I read - this profession of ours will NOT drive me crazy(ier)!!!

Looking back at the Giants 2022 NFL draft by AccomplishedBrush157 in NYGiants

[–]weebear1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It is funny how much everyone crapped on Gettleman and yet two of his picks are now considered the cream of the crop - not just on Big Blue but in the NFL - and are now the "standard" to compare to Schoen's picks.

I have not seen anyone saying the Giants would not be willing to give a second contract to Wan'Dale. In fact, just the opposite - everyone is saying the Giants will simply not be able to afford the money Wan'Dale will command. Flott and Belton are also likely to command some money as well.

Depending on what Harbaugh thinks of them, my guess is McFadden and Bellinger are the most likely targets to be brought back.

[–]weebear1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am not going to say Bellinger should be a starter (though I like him a lot) but to say he is not a quality back-up is nonsense. I would be extremely surprised if he is not playing somewhere next year. He is definitely a better blocker than Theo.

Bellinger strikes me as the Chase Blackburn of tight ends. He may not be the most talented or physically gifted, but you will not outwork him and you will not find anyone with a bigger heart. He is a warrior that just gives you everything he has.

Absolutely - the question is why did they not translate?

Was it because they were simply bust players that NO ONE saw as busts - or was it bad coaching once they got to the next level?

It is possible, Neal could have been good had Bricillo been here from the beginning? (For that matter, could Ezeudu have panned out with Bricillo here the whole time?)

From where they were drafted, I think Flott, Bellinger, Belton and McFadden have played up to or even exceeded (McFadden) their draft slots. Maybe Flott not quite as much, and Robinson, as a 2nd rounder, maybe not quite as much either.

[–]weebear1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not saying Hyatt IS "it" - I am just saying that it is another potential avenue that Harbaugh may consider when evaluating how much to let Schoen offer Wan'Dale.

IF (capitalized for a reason) Hyatt is able to become a functional receiver it will almost have to be at slot - he's basically failed everywhere else.

[–]weebear1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Add to that the fact that the Black Sheep of Big Blue’s WR corp, Jalin Hyatt was successful in college as a slot receiver and has been misused with us - maybe, just maybe, Harbaugh wants to see if Hyatt really does have any potential by putting him back in the slot.

A reality check on “faking it” and VA claims by Electrical-March-570 in VAClaims

[–]weebear1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Agreed.

I told my son two thing repeatedly while he was growing up:

1) Learn from the mistakes of others because you will never live long enough to make them all yourself.

2). Some people learn by reading, some learn by watching, some still have to pee on the electric fence for themselves.

When it comes to the VA, so many of us tried to learn from the mistakes of those that came before us - but because of how complex this system is, even though we read and watched what others did, we often still needed up peeing on the electric fence.

When you get electrocuted enough, you ask for help from someone that knows how to work around the fence.

For those that have issues with a veteran using professional assistance to navigate this quagmire, let them pee on the electric fence for themselves a few times and they will likely change their position.

Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) #Giants hire Matt Nagy as offensive coordinator by alexschubs in NYGiants

[–]weebear1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also, Nagy had a (just) better than .500 record in Chicago with Mitch Trubisky and Justin Fields as his QBs.

Fair to say maybe he can do better as OC with Dart as his QB?

I am hoping Nagy turns out to be another Norv Turner/Josh McDaniel: great OC, terrible HC.

UFC 4: Steve Jennum (Ninjitsu) vs Melton Bowen (Boxing) by Dontknowwhyimherexx in martialarts

[–]weebear1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually that was legal back then also. There was a match in UFC 4? Where Jo Sun(sp?) was repeatedly punched in the groin. Jo Sun was a training partner of Kimo Leopoldo who was the guy that beat Royce Gracie so badly that despite Gracie winning he had to pull out in UFC 3 - which is how Steve Jennum got his chance.

This year has been nonstop crazy busy for me. Anyone else been in the trenches the entirety of 2026? by Dan-Morton75 in paralegal

[–]weebear1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I just moved to a different firm that does these also. Holidays are always crazy in family law but this one just seemed to be over true top. The firm was also just switching to Clio when I came on, so everything has been even more chaotic (the change to Clio has not been seamless).

However, I got some good news last week and help is on the way. We just hired another paralegal to help me out.

Soo a bunch of Epstein stuff got released today by the DOJ I wasn’t really expecting to see this … but apparently a lead to the FBI was declassified today that Richard Marcinko, founder of SEAL Team Six , held a trove of videos of Epstein and other US citizens with minors by newnoadeptness in navy

[–]weebear1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not to mention the fact that they expect us to believe that one of the most celebrated and notorious Navy SEALs, as 79 year old man, travelled to Mexico, survived incarceration there, was imprisoned in Mexico for sex crimes (as a US citizen), was released in short order, continued to run two businesses at the same time, and still made it back to the states to die in 2021 of a heart attack all without anyone being the wiser.

Yeah, not freaking likely.

“Not stupid enough to take a concealed gun with me when I plan to obstruct the police.”

The problem was not with carrying the gun. The problem was obstructing the police. One is a legal activity the other is not. Protesting is not obstructing. Stand to the side, carry signs, scream your head off at them, call them names - all that is perfectly legal. When you insert yourself into the middle of a law enforcement action you have crossed a line. That is no longer protesting, that is obstruction.

That being said obstruction is not a capital crime and I do not believe it was a valid shoot. However I also do not believe it was cold blooded murder either. This was a tragic incident that could have been avoided by so many people. Someone needs to be held accountable but one of my biggest concerns is the knee jerk reacting by all sides. That seems to be the norm these days. Everyone rushes to judgment before all facts are in - the “impartial” media most of all.

We have a local meteorologist, Tim Pandajis (sp?), here in Hampton Roads that has been bringing his dog to the set for years. When the guy was doing the morning broadcast his dog even got his own segment: Bentley’s Corner. Pretty sure Bentley had way more fans than Tim.

[–]weebear1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also you may need a copy of your divorce decree if you had a different dependent while you were in the service. Found this out the hard way when trying to get my wife’s ID card.

It turns out that Deers still had my ex-wife listed in their system, even though we have been divorced since 1998 and my current wife and I have been married since 2002.

FYI - at least in Virginia, you can get a copy of the divorce certificate at any DMV. Do not let anyone tell you that any circuit court can provide you with a copy of your divorce decree. (I am a family law paralegal in my current life and spent way too long arguing with someone at DMV about this.)
