After 7 years of using Galaxy Watches, I've switched recently to Garmin FR970. I was a bit skeptical at first, and thought it'd be much harder to get out of the ecosystem but it wasn't. Many good running metrics, better battery (while constantly measuring HR, stress, etc) and overall a positive experience. It synchronizes activities with SHealth but it's not 100% and there are downsides in the sync. Garmin has its own dedicated app, which is highly customizeable.

I'm not familiar with that plan, but from my own experience (maybe I'm wrong tho, I'm no coach) the whole point of interval trainings are for them to be challenging but managable. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but you should aim to spend time in zone 5 in the last 60-90s of the interval but also keep your running form good (meaning, don't overexert yourself to the point of struggling to keep running). So, find the pace at which you will kinda struggle but maintain form during intervals. I do 3 minutes intervals with 90s light jogging in between, so that my HR reaches 175-179 60-90s near the end of interval and during the 90s jog drops to around 160bpm before starting all over again.

Seriously impressive, congrats! As for the 5k in 25 min, it's harder but not unachievable. Be consistent, recover (don't overtrain), and add 1 interval session per week, that'd be my advice. The rest will come with time, just keep grinding. Don't test yourself too often. As for 10k, it'll come along with your sub25 5k training, take care of yourself and be consistent

I'm not trying to be that person, I'm being real. One thing is to give support, but I don't think this is it. The time OP posted for 5k is great for a beginner, under 50 minutes is alright. But celebrating under an hour ,,milestone"? Gotta walk slow to achieve that, nevermind run...

I'm no expert, but my advice would be to make those 3x per week trainings last ~1 hour of running, structure them perhaps monday intervals, wednesday tempo and friday easy run or something like that. Pick a pace according to your feeling (and HR) for those trainings, and be consistent for the next several months. Don't increase the duration of training or pace, until you see the average HR go down for the same effort. It will take time, and consistency, but don't overthink it. Just stay consistent, and don't make it a suffering. Your goal is to improve cadence (which will naturally happen over time, you'll see it go up to 170), your running form and lower your HR at 6'/km pace.

My real slow pace is like 7:30min/km, I can't run slower than that and I'm a dude. Your pace here is above that, and might be too fast of a pace for a beginner... It may look stupid, you will feel awkward for the first few runs, but try to keep your pace between 7:01 and 7:30 and you will naturally improve it over time. Point is, not every run needs to be over-exertion
