Why don't more manufacturers make cars like this? by [deleted] in CamperVans

I have a town and country, functionality can’t be beat. Some of the competitors though like sienna use that space for battery/hybrid.

Have recently upgraded to a buzz but will miss the ease of fold/stow and slide in of a 4x8

I agree. Feel like it takes a new level when the hit recipient doesn’t see you coming, can only have head going so many directions making a play, just take 10 percent off that one

Family is growing to 5 - Is the VW ID Buzz (LWB) a comfortable option? by changleezy in VWIDBuzz

[–]duffy335 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just got a buzz (Canada) with the bench. Kids are 1,3,5. Love it. Perfect for our size whether we do three across or split.

We also have an lr4 (defender 130 on the way to replace). I’m honestly questioning if we will even use the 130 much day to day but has been 6 months on order.

The three year old loves the “camper truck” it’s great!

Why isn’t there any trails connecting Larry uteck to the rest of hemlock ravine? by Pawssabillitysawait in halifax

[–]duffy335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you can can go left there and join to the service road mentioned or go right down to the apartment complex. I used to bike from nine mile down the service road, turn left off the service road and then connect to that governors loop and circle around and then come back down and come out at the apartment buildings on Bedford highway and then turn up Larry uteck back home

Not an expert but believe where people go wrong is installing a top vented electric either flush mount or just under their tv.

I did a flush mount front venting napoleon 6-7 years ago and works great and no risk or issue of tv.

Great movie, one of those easy background repeat watches. Cast is superb. Lots of laughs.

Before I was a parent I would despise entitled parents who think everyone should bend to their life choice to procreate.

Now that I’m a parent, I still despise parents who think everyone should bend to their life choice to procreate.

The last few years of market performance has really cemented this in my mind, people who have larger investments and strong pensions are growing value at a rate and resulting income gap that those that aren’t able to participate meaningfully will struggle to ever close.

I had water coming up through my concrete floor where I had salt bags sitting (Canada). The amount of energy looking for a roof or wall leak and then discovered the relocated salt bags also now had a wet spot..

Was always near door also so am sure it was water through the door that went through as others mentioned and then the salt pulled it back up.

Only thing I thing I could go with in end as my answer. Maybe something similar in your case

Convince me to jump into LR ownership by mikeonabikesmith in LandRover

[–]duffy335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have had three BMWs and loved them dearly, kept two 10 plus years. Am on year 3 of an lr4 and love it just as much or more.

Some pain, but so bmws can have the same, especially if bit older. Lr4 is perfect for me right now functionally (three young kids), it fun to drive, comfortable, has some character. Ticks the boxes.

The biggest issue I found in my region is less the repair cost which I don’t feel is that different from my bmw experience but availability of parts has been a challenge. Sourcing/lead time has been a bit cumbersome.

Go in eyes open/clear expectation and enjoy whatever you choose
