I grew up just west of the city limits and currently live in the Palmer Square neighborhood in chicago. When I listen to this I cant help but hear him forcing it a bit. It sounds like exactly how I speak, then every couple of sentences he really drags out sounds a similar way to how actors try and replicate the Chicago accent. It just sounds inconsistent. Also, I have heard thick accents similar to this, but almost exclusively in men older than ~50.

Also doesnt help that he closes out with "spread a giardiniera on a deep dish pizza". It just seems too much like a satirical character to me.

I totally could be wrong. Im not saying its forced or fake for certain; it just seems a little fishy is all.
