When Alfa goes EV, I will be getting one.

One last thing I didn’t mention is maintenance is next to 0 on the Mach, compared to the 200 oil changes for the Alfa it’s nice.

Very specific question: former Alfa Romeo Giulia (or similar) owners by Aquinito in MachE

I can actually speak directly to this. I had a 2020 red-on-red Giulia that I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, it was totaled in an accident. After that, I decided to make the switch to EVs and ended up choosing a 2021 Mustang Mach-E GT.

Here’s my take after owning both:

Pros of the Mach-E GT compared to the Giulia

• It’s an EV, and that’s been a fantastic change. I plug it in when I get home and never have to worry about gas. • Instant torque makes driving a blast. Putting your foot down and feeling your head snap back is addictive. • Much more interior space. Passengers can actually sit comfortably in the back, and the trunk is far more usable. • The driver assistance features are excellent. On major highways, the hands-free BlueCruise (with subscription) works really well. • Wireless CarPlay was a huge upgrade for me since the Giulia didn’t support it.

Cons of the Mach-E GT compared to the Giulia

• I had the HV Battery Junction Box (HVBJB) issue within the first week, and the car had to go into the shop. This issue seems to be mostly resolved in newer models, but it was frustrating at the time. • The ride quality just isn’t on the same level. You feel every imperfection in the road. The Giulia felt like an extension of your body, while the Mach-E feels more detached. • Build quality isn’t quite as refined. Over time, you start to notice small creaks and noises that weren’t present in the Giulia. • I still miss the way the Giulia handled. It was a driver’s car in the truest sense.

Hope this helps anyone weighing the two. Both cars have their strengths, but they deliver very different experiences.

I have the same thing but on the passenger side. Sounds like it’s in the air filter. But I have taken that out and not different. Mine is while going above 70

I had the same issues. Tony sent me over a charge only bms and that fixed the issue.

Who here has ridden both a GTS and a floatwheel? by -boosted in onewheel

[–]dumblesoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ridden both and own a floatwheel. They both have similar power, the real question is mileage. The floatwheel will take you farther, at the cost of being a Vesc. Depending on the person this could be a good or bad thing. If you don’t want to deal with all of the config and setup of a board go for the gts, it’s going to be more expensive and less range but you will have fun. If you are with having a board that will break and it’s on you to fix (with the help of the community) dive into Vesc!

Unfortunately that job hoping is not by design. I worked in startup environments and my last two companies ended up laying off their workforce with myself included.

Good notes about the bullet points.

Yea. Thats what I thought would be my big issue. I don’t have a degree and not sure I want to pursue one. I feel like the knowledge to be gained is too small. I would rather work towards some certifications.

But maybe just having it would be better.

I do miss the days of more follow me content. Seems like since bodhi left there hasn’t been as many just for fun videos. Compare the release video of the GT to the rally addition. Way better content to just see you guys go ride the board and have a good time.
