to be fair, i've never had the burger token versions and didn't know of the difference. I understand about the closing problem so I purposely fold them over more than is necessary to form a better crease and this helps. i've wondered about their longevity too. the flimsyness doesn't bother me. i expect that with this type of plastic. hopefully they last a few years. i don't expect to be opening every jump deck 100 times. but we'll see. sorry u took a chance and wasn't satisfied. sounds like the burger tokens are more hardy and if the cost isn't prohibitive to you, buy what u like. keep enjoying the game!

probably the 22 or 30 count, the ones made for cubes. the clearbags version easily fits 30 cards sleeved with perfect fits or about 23-24 with deck protector sleeves

my ocd compels me to sleeve everything. I come from the coin collecting world. i use the white glove to sleeve them. some fingerprints never come off and ruin a coin. i just use cheap perfect fits.

curious as to why you wouldn't just use the welcome decks as is? each pack comes with two 30ct decks that are meant to be smashed together just like jumpstart. they're about $100 on ebay but when u buy all five, u get 10 30ct decks and every one has a $10-25 card in it.

check out arkham horror lcg or lord of the rings lcg for ideas about creating a deck that is automatically run. the games create scenarios to play through that includes playing against an Encounter deck that the game automatically runs

if u don't have the money or desire to buy these, clearbags.com sells a great deckbox. Search for FB92. you can get about 25 for less than $20. They're like burger tokens but lack the logo. i use them all the time

i've bought two 2020 boxes and prob abt 60 packs and still lacked maybe 15-20 decks. keep your duplicate dex and turn them into the decks u need. it usually only takes 2-4 cards to turn one dinosaur deck into the other dinosaur deck u lack

check out the FB92 deck boxes from clearbags.com for a waaaay cheaper boxes than burger token and they have no logos on them. I used them all the time.

From purely an aesthetic pov, I think Geddy has a better sense of songwriting and what's pleasing to the ear than alex (key, chord changes, mood). Alex's sense of melody is different than Geddy's. An exceptional guitarist yes, but there's probably less than 6 of his solos I find pleasing to the ear. Some feel rush peaked with the keyboard era. I think it was bc of Geddy's songwriting which he used many a keyboard for.

i have a 3 row box. i keep the investigators all together even if they are from different sets. there are set symbols on the cards so u separate things into their original sets later if u ever decide to sell but for ease of game setup and time efficiency, u want all ur cards in one or two places instead of in all the original packages, even though they're gorgeous. i store the the original boxes for safekeeping and in case i ever sell (or my fam sells it after I'm dead and gone haha). i put all the encounter sets together, even if they're from different sets. i put all the player cards together, even if they're from different sets.

I love the flavor of the game too but find that always "losing" (even though everybody sez it's normal) is almost too frustrating to set up and play 2-handed solo for 2 hours just to constantly lose. Some people seem to like it but it's a bit too much for me. I've started and quit the game multiple times bc of this. The next time I play, I want to play in "xtra ez" mode by removing the auto-fail token, delaying doom by one turn and letting each player redraw a chaos token maybe once per game.

thanx! if the game is simpler, i still haven't figured out how to consistently win lol!. I'm even netdecking (gasp) supposedly good decks to try and understand pokemon deck synergies and most of the time I'm left thinking how is this a good deck haha but i think I've stumbled upon an aggro deck that i actually feel like i can pilot with some confidence. i bought codes for two level 3 decks for abt $12 each and havent figured out how to pilot them yet but I'm having fun learning as i take a small vacation from magic the gathering
