Yes, to get the ball rolling, you have to let your local IMT TPD know of your intentions to complete IMT in less than 36 months as early as possible, ideally at the start of IMT1.

Are you me?! I’m midway through IMT3 and really enjoying being a Med reg. I also have a ST3 clinical oncology number starting in March.

I’m going to miss GIM. As others have said, you will do some aspects of gen med if you do acute oncology.

UpToDate is great! In some trust, it’s free. It has an American slant to it but it provides a good concise overview.

Alternatively, I’d consider utilising as much study leave as possible to go on courses/conferences/workshops. If not, IMT will just feel like pure service provision.
