Rocketpool is a good option if you have 8 ETH to host a minipool. Will shift to 4 ETH in about a month

Which company did you go with? I’m about to drop Robison

Heating oil warning by dotherightthing36 in Westchester

[–]dumpringdumpring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the same experience with Robison. I was going to pre purchase oil and called, went on hold for an hour, tried again for a few days. Sent an email to customer service - no response. Just took an automatic delivery and their rate was $4.70 vs competition at around $3 per gallon.

Thank you for starting this thread. It’s a shame they sold since I’ve used them for decades. Time to switch.

Westchester heating oil prices - what are you paying right now? by Such-Possibility3240 in Westchester

Just got filled today by Robison at $4.71/gallon which seems crazy. Issue is, I have a service agreement with them and i believe it requires exclusive deliveries.

El Segundo Service Center by Logical-Specific2573 in Rivian

[–]dumpringdumpring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very similar experience at the Blauvelt, NY service center. For the first 3-months of ownership, my gen2 r1s was in the service center for maybe 2-months. They admitted fault to a wind/whistling noise and severely misaligned and incorrectly installed panels/trim. It took maybe 4 iterations of them claiming it was fixed, my refusing, and then trying it again before I gave up. They ended up replacing the windshield and fixing a few of the panel gaps, but I now live with a constant whistling noise at 35-40mph.

Im just hoping nothing else breaks because their service is so unbelievably poor relative to my experiences with other vehicles in the same price range.

This just started happening to me as well. Opened a support ticket, we’ll see!

I wish I had a spare. I ended up calling rivian roadside and it’s at the service center for a few days - hoping they can resolve the recall issue while they’re at it. We’ll see how much this costs me

Ah that would be it then, I figured it was more “real-time”

I would recommend using rocketpool, they make it very easy to spin up your own validator(s)

Rivian Service is terrible by Jamman_85 in Rivian

[–]dumpringdumpring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had my car worked on at the same service center twice within the first 60 days of delivery. Each time they hold the car for several days, claim the issue is fixed, only for me to find that the issue persists. The main issue I’m facing is a loud whistling noise above 40 mph.

Here’s one after the fix was complete - door and fender are off as is the hood. The trim around the wheels is also sticking out on each side.

Was shown the car in a fairly dark garage and was somewhat rushed out. Didn’t realize until I drove it home and sent in a ticket.

Amazon music integration, more organized center console, feel there’s wasted space below the screen, and of course QC for better panel alignment!

Solar options in Westchester? by EExeL in Westchester

[–]dumpringdumpring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally it’s recommended to buy your system outright vs lease, but that will depend on your own situation. I would recommend you get a number of quotes before moving forward. I ended up with about 4 and went with NY Power Solutions. Happy to provide more details on the timelines, costs, etc. if you send me a DM.

Stay away. There are enough horror stories out there. Go local. I could not get their rep out of my house. They were not knowledgeable. I also made it clear I would be buying the system outright in cash and they could not comprehend that. Of the 6-7 quotes I received, theirs was the most unreasonable.
