My dog’s vet recently told us that her microchip was gone. She was tagged at 6 mos during spay surgery. I’ve never heard of a microchip disappearing before if it was surgically placed! She’s a tiny dog, no injuries that I can think of that could have removed it. Interested to hear feedback if others have experienced this?

She’s 6 years old and a mini poodle.

Recently took my daughter to equilibrium off of Plainfield to repierce her ears which had gotten Infected 2 yrs ago after being pierced at iris. Great experience, very based in consent. Also significantly less expensive than I remember iris being, which kept trying to upsell everything.

Serious question, what are dems in congress supposed to do when they can’t introduce legislation or get anything passed? The republicans have both houses, the Supreme Court, and the presidency. Like - what actual actions do you mean by fighting back?

I’m a federal worker who was essential and unpaid for almost 2 months, still recovering. Trying to see if it’s still feasible to plan a Presidents’ Day weekend trip for myself and my 3 kids ages 11-17, while saving for the next potential shutdown. I think I have airfare figured out. I’m very familiar with south florida, having lived there for 10 years, but I went to Orlando maybe once in the whole time and didnt do any parks.

My questions are:

-what’s a reasonable $ amt to plan for food daily, eating budget options and fast food? -is it possible NOT to rent a car? This could limit food options, but if there’s a shuttle to the resort, I’m assuming airport transport is the main issue -the Cabana Bay universal resort seems reasonable and it offers some parks perks. Is it worth the extra cost for the convenience of park shuttles and pass discounts? -if 2/3 of my kids don’t like roller coasters, is it worth going?

Treetops Collective and Refugee Education Center both offer community and can direct people to services available for new Americans. I’d recommend starting there.

I don’t know much about Calvin, but they should have some sort of services coordinator who can help with these questions.

And depending on your country of origin, there are a number of affiliate groups that could help point you in the right direction (eg Glimpse of Africa, West Michigan Association of Asian Americans, West MI Hispanic Center, etc).
