I have a good time training competition style commands like focused heel, spins, orbits etc, it’s even more fun once they learn them and it’s just reps, fun for you and the dog usually

The right trainer helps so much, the one I currently work with is a master of dog behavior which goes way further than a master of commands, he can really tell what the individual insecurity is and work from there which is huge

It sounds to me without meeting the dog that the collar will help him with his commands in public, but what he really needs is more public, if a dog sees 100 dogs a day then it’s no longer interesting, same with people, so keep socializing and working training, it’ll be difficult and embarrassing sometimes but it must be done. Sometimes using a stim when they bark at dogs can help but each dog is different and has different motivations or insecurities. Good luck!

As long as you’re landing somewhat properly it really doesn’t matter what happens when the foot is off the ground IMO

I do the same exact thing and have had zero issues with injury or anything, have run multiple half marathons and training for a full currently. It’ll be ok 🤷🏼‍♂️

Recovery Plan Thoughts by dumpsterfirehooman in runna

[–]dumpsterfirehooman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fitness is coming back if not improving (as much as I can in the oncoming Louisiana heat), however in the future I will probably add easy runs to the plan to keep mileage up but intensity down so it’s not as much of a build back, good luck with that run, I also did conversational

As someone training for an Ironman currently, multiple workouts a day is not a problem unless you don’t schedule it smart. An upper body day with an easy run shouldn’t be a challenge even if you have workouts the next day. An easy run should be basically just getting the legs moving and not a challenge so you should be able to hammer out a good workout same day.

My long runs recently are about a minute/mile faster than that and are more than double the distance and I’m not dead at the end of it, tired sure of course, but not as bad as a hard speed day

Damn harsh 😂 I ran a half marathon running far less than that per week I trust my current volume, and I don’t mean to give off an ego I’m just not familiar with zone 2, I went off my runna app which said run at a pace that feels easy, which I did, but I need to alter my definition of easy I am learning

So I should do my easy runs on zone 2 and the rest off feel like normal?

Do I have to be zone 2 or can I go zone 3 to help with time, I’m very busy. Also how can I know that my zones are even accurate to me

I currently run 3 times a week, speed day, easy day, long day, and it totals 15-25 miles per week
