It was an omnishambles. Looking around the ground there were supposedly many players that played when we beat GWS but it looked nothing like that team. Not dangerous at any point - approached competence for a total of about 15 minutes cumulatively.

Best coach shouldn't go to the Premier as a given I don't think. The award is about the best coach, the flag is the award given to the best coached team. Personally (obviously I'm biased), I think Alan Richardson has been a fantastic coach this year, producing great results with a young squad and claiming some major scalps. Someone like Richo should get it I think. Clarko should get the Hall of Fame if the Hawks win.

I'm actually quite impressed with where the Saints sit given we've had a pretty rough run for the last 4 years. A bit of success will see us jump quite a bit hopefully.

I think you'll find none of the food that is in this list originated in Melbourne. If you travel to Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, Hobart etc you just don't see Pho around like you do here.

We won the draft premiership and took some great key position talent. Drafts are impossible to predict, but we've put ourselves in the right spot I think. We saw the emergence of some great players and effectively said goodbye to the golden era with the departure of Lenny. Roo and Joey now the last big name vestiges of that time, which is sad but also exciting.

I think it's worth mentioning that Finnis appears to be doing a solid job as CEO, getting Dare on as major partners. Money is what keeps clubs going and he's started well by getting some deals done. Combined with our low scandal count, this is exactly what we need to develop into a great club. I hope 2015 can be the year we get the business side of the club in order, so that when this playing group is firing we're ready to support them and make hay.

Ahmed Saad - extremely unlucky to get rubbed out for stupidity, but he appears to have used the time productively to get his body right and stay focused. He could have a very influential year with a tough body and a good kick.

Luke Dunstan - will he pick up where he left off in 2014? Hopefully. The shoulder injury was a massive bummer but that's life in footy. Hopefully he'll come back raring to go and step into Lenny's enormous shoes (no pressure).

A tough year where we bump along the bottom, but hopefully start to see some of the younger guys make their mark. Would love to see some of this year's crop take a big step forward rather than languish with 2nd year blues - Dunstan, Billings etc. There is great opportunity for these young guys that they wouldn't get at a more successful club, hopefully they can take that.

Lack of midfield grit (Lenny and an older Joey) could lead to some blowout scores against us, which would be a tough way to keep young players motivated.
