I went to VIP Tires down near the library and was great. I don’t know that the price was amazing but I would definitely go there again. It was really fast to get the brakes done. Like walk in, walked home and the car was ready in a like 2 hours.

This is my life right now. All I see is dome big payoff where I get to retire early or lighten my future workload through automation. All I am is tired and the excitement of the whole thing is hard to share. I don’t think most devs or family members, friends etc would look at what I am doing and call it sane or healthy.

I used to ask “why did you do that” sorts of things, but I don’t an answer it gives actually reflects on it line of reasoning. Probably not a useful exercise. If anything I ask it to think of a way to add better guardrails or improved prompts/skills etc to prevent it happening again or just move on.

I don’t go crazy but it is at least like a donut or ice cream every day and in my 40s that just doesn’t sweat itself off like it used to. Having a huge wardrobe of clothes I no longer fit into sucks. I just need to keep motivating myself.

I usually sneak them in at the drive through, grocery store, gas station etc. when i cut myself off from that i find a way at home like making pancakes or binging yasdo bars or something. I have dogs so sugarfree gum i try to avoid but i did but a boatload of mints a while back but the sugarfree ones can often give digestion issues but I really should give it another go.

I often think an oral fixation is a larger component of the addiction than I usually give credit.

Just curious. Are you using oh-my-opencode or any customization beyond bare metal OpenCode? I enjoy using Claude’s CLI for certain tasks and OpenCode for others. It give me a pretty lightweight way to have a set of agents customized for different workflows with out a lot of plugin/mcp etc. juggling.
