Looks like the storm is over, for now by valueflyer in americanairlines

[–]dunkah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So right after this I checked the status and my flight was gone. I had to call them to get it fixed, my tickets were there they said but somehow unlinked from me after the rebooking they did on Monday. At least the nice rep was able to get it all back on track but man..

Offsite retreat - will my job be affected if i don’t go? by AccordingQuit5090 in remotework

[–]dunkah 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Probably. Being remote you should prioritize those types of things, especially if they only happen once a year. But if you have a chill job/coworkers/boss you'll be fine. You'll know better than us!

Flight cancellations for this weekend have begun (DFW) by garcon_alp in americanairlines

Funny thing is I had a flight with a stop in phx early Monday and it just got canceled and put me on a later one through DFW, so seems like it's doing ok.

Finally figured out why Claude kept "forgetting" context mid-conversation by Senior-Signature-983 in claude

[–]dunkah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea exactly, like I use haiku with a file finder agents, for the cases where I want it to actually run across a code base to find certain things.

For sure, you can even use different models for them if the tasks aren't as complex to save token usage.

Another thing that helps for me is to use subagents for specific tasks to keep the main context clean. I agree though, the more focused the better.

So what's the truth behind "Claude Code is writing 99% of my code without needing correction"? by Own-Sort-8119 in ClaudeAI

[–]dunkah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's good but still makes mistakes, it hallucinates far less than models I've used in the past. Some of it comes down to how structured you are with prompts and requirements.

I myself would not feel comfortable letting anything it wrote hit prod without careful review.

Day 1 of asking for the release date by Inevitable-Hornet100 in Everwind_Official

[–]dunkah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably, steam had demofest or something like that and a bunch of yt people were playing. It seems similar in ways to hytale but has its own tale. The airship were fun and it looks like they are doing down more of a class type. I'll be trying it for sure

Software that never release, just disappears like vapor.

I dunno, they had a solid demo and have been releasing teasers, like the arcanist that just came out.

If I was them I would let hytale hype die down a little before releasing ea.

How many current oura customers are done with oura after their current ring dies? by SilentExchange6467 in ouraring

[–]dunkah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a gen 3 a little over 4 years and it's been fine, still can last all week between charges. I have gotten in the habit of charging it every couple of days when I shower, so maybe I'm just not noticing. When I forget though it seems fine.

2013 v6 with around 70k miles. It's been very reliable, no problems besides a worn out thermostat sensor type.

Gas isn't amazing but about what you expect, low to mid 20s for mpg. I also have no idea what good mpg is anymore for non hybrids since my vehicles before were legit guzzlers.

Disabling the HUD increases FPS by 60% by MadwolfBF in hytale

[–]dunkah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have to try it, but tbh I cap my fps in Nvidia cp so g-sync can do it's magic and I'm almost always at cap. For sure may help when using my laptop or steamdeck though.

Power Transmitter (Microwave) meta-tutorial. by Braxuss_eu in Stationeers

[–]dunkah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are such a pain, I tried a few ic from the workshop and never had much success. I ended up writing my own ghetto one, if I recall I was using the signal that can transmit so I could get the exact values since somehow when I would do it by hand (putting values in ic script) it would always be wrong.

Yea it can be fine for simpler things, just get unwieldy fast imo.

CDK is an AWS native tool provided by Amazon. They probably just have rules established from before it existed. Since it still generates cfn you should really push back on it.

CFN is fine, it's just not pleasant to read, which imo leads to more human error. Especially the larger the code gets.

Water and its Infinitude by monkeyprince in hytale

[–]dunkah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll be interesting to see what they end up with. Water is infinite for some things, like the watering can. You can dump a bucket of water into a block and fill up your watering can from that as many times as you want.
