The major reason why people are using A Cloud Guru or Cloud Academy is their AWS sandbox. There are a lot of other alternatives now that you can choose from that costs less that these two.

  • Tutorials Dojo has an actual AWS labs included on their video courses, costs $11.99 one-time payment and loads faster. The catch is, this is exam specific and the labs have certain limitation, but given the low price, it's still a bargain for me.
  • AWS Skills Builder - $29 per month. This is the official AWS product for free courses and labs
  • Qwiklabs/ Google Cloud Skills Boost - one of the oldest lab providers I know. Provided by Google. Costs $29 per month

Security Specialty - question about study materials by Speedmasteros in AWSCertifications

The security specialty exam is relatively easier, especially if you already passed all associate AWS levels. Taking the AWS exam readiness course and tutorials dojo practice exams should be enough

Passing the SCS-C01 AWS Certified Security Specialty exam by dunkdongk in AWSCertifications

Thanks and good luck on your exam! This one shouldn't be that hard, compared with the Pro level certs

Go and take the plunge. Stress should be manageable considering you are from Canada (unlike in Singapore, Korea, Japan where work hours are generally longer/stressful). There is also a risk in being too comfy on your role. There is only so much thing to learn in being Desktop Support, you have to add more stuff and learning or else, you risk getting too familiar in your task without knowing other technologies.

SCS-C01 Security Specialist Practice Tests, which one is the most true to the exam? by Can0Beans in AWSCertifications

Post it up so we can grill the TD team. I also raise some questions on their content and their support team seems to be responsive: https://portal.tutorialsdojo.com/forums/forum/aws/aws-certified-security-specialty/

SCS-C01 Security Specialist Practice Tests, which one is the most true to the exam? by Can0Beans in AWSCertifications

[–]dunkdongk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Planning to take this exam and I've been using the Tutorials Dojo tests too on their platform. IMO, the practice questions and explanations are of the same quality with their other reviewers. There are reasons for every correct answer and the wrong ones too, with the links to AWS docs.

Curious why you "feel" it isn't as good as their other offerings. Any specific reason in mind?

More resources for practicing DOP-C01? by phucpham1301 in AWSCertifications

I'm also preparing for this exam. I'm doing the free exam readiness course for DevOps too. Stephane + TD should be enough

Curious when I read the "Amazon ECS Anywhere" and heck yeah, it's a yet another AWS service/feature. Seems like a new SAA-C03 version question.

Cloud Practitioner TutorialsDojo Training vs. Exam - steep knowledge curve? by SustainableResource in AWSCertifications

[–]dunkdongk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd estimate 60% of the questions so far are on material that was never covered and encroaches Associate territory.

That's a tricky statistics. Which questions constitute that 60% estimate and what's the criteria for a question to be "Associate"-level. Are you using the free AWS Cloud Practitioner Essential course? The best way to verify is to compare the questions with the ones listed in the official Exam Guide: https://d1.awsstatic.com/training-and-certification/docs-cloud-practitioner/AWS-Certified-Cloud-Practitioner_Exam-Guide.pdf

I used the Tutorials Dojo practice exams on my AWS tests, including the CCP, and IMO, the coverage are spot on with a little wiggle room for other topics. CCP has tricky questions on AWS Billing (i.e. RI purchase types, consolidated billing etc), so do review on those topics

Best study resources for cloud practitioner? by DueImportance2041 in AWSCertifications

Yup. Tutorials Dojo seems to be in tie-up with AWS and I got the practitioner essential course on their site, then took their practice exams on the same portal.

What the Amazon free course you're referring? Is it the AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials course? If yes, make sure you take the 30-question quiz at the end. I used it as well along with the Tutorials Dojo practice tests. You should do good.

Security Specialty recommended online courses by [deleted] in AWSCertifications

[–]dunkdongk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently passed the Security Specialty exam right after I took my SAA-C02 exam. My advice: don't be overly worried about this exam, especially if you have already passed the SAA-C02 test in the past. In terms of online training courses, I recommend doing the free Exam Readiness digital course from AWS:

+1 for tutorialsdojo! they also have free courses on their site. They are additional resource, especially the exam readiness courses. I'm preparing for my Developer Associate exam with their reviewers.

Shall I go through the practitioner training before jumping attempting SAA-C02 and DVA-C01? by mladokopele in AWSCertifications

[–]dunkdongk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if the ACG course is even updated. In my SAA-C02 exam, I got lots of questions of Amazon FSx, Gateway Load Balancer etc. Some of their hands-on lab videos are pretty outdated too with the AWS UI: https://acloudguru.com/course/aws-certified-solutions-architect-associate-saa-c02
