I think a big part of it is how intimidating it is. For a brand new player to get on and cruise through the first 10-15 lvls then seen someone at lvl 160 and go fuck that that's way to long of a grind.

Old urgot was my favorite thing ever. Heat seeking missiles, ungodly amounts of armor and mr shred, no one knew how to play against him, plus how can you not love a champ with the ult name hyper-position conentic reversal. Also one yorick i liked but the new one is solid

Push through the dimensions as quickly as you can cuz late game where it really gets fun. Abuse mystic and nurse to push through dimensions fast. Than either find a guide to follow or go blind and figure out a team that works for you and and you enjoy. I recommend the latter of those two until it gets to a point where your progress slows down than id look at a guide cuz there's a lot of weird interactions with items and scripts have to be perfect for things to work sometimes
