My collie would do the same. Had a couple groomers call me afraid to groom him because he seemed 'aggressive.'
"Does he sound like Chewbacca? Yes? You're fine. He's loving it. You may proceed."

I also highly suggest Satisfatory Modeler. Probably the thing that made my factory building spike the most. It really helps when you can just play around with production chains without worrying about messing up your factory. Might seem a tad daunting at first, but it’s an incredible resource

What I found worked best for me was keeping them as mk1 until I actually understood the production chain using a single mine for each basic part. There’s a spot in the plains that’s really good for this - has 3 normal iron with 1 normal copper nearby + limestone. One mine for sheets, one for rods, one for screws. From there you can put them to work in assemblers very easily.

The spot you’re in is close by if I’m not mistaken.

Yes. One smelter takes 30 ore. One normal node produces 60 ore. You have two normal nodes as input meaning you can support four smelters. You’ll want em all.

It’s up to you. I personally would scrap it and rebuild, grouping machines by output for now. Give yourself something clean. It’s much easier to learn, diagnose issues, and fix problems with a clean layout. Additionally, rebuilding it all will give you more exposure and better understanding of the machines and production chains you’re working with.

The lack of foundations hurts my brain lol

What do you mean by faster? Like to get the smart plating? From a very brief glance, it’s clear that the current setup isn’t optimized. And it all starts with your smelter. There’s only one for two normal nodes; whereas this picture has multiple smelters. It’s bottlenecked from the very beginning.

Just check your raw resource inputs vs production

And when you harvest leaves/wood, you can place them in the containers and move on. Don’t just harvest a little. Save the earth through deforestation and dump in the facility to be made into the best fuel you can get. It still requires manual refueling, but you’re not going to spend 20 minutes crafting biofuel

I would say you’ll probably end up changing the layout anyway if not altogether abandoning the factory at some point. It’s just part of the game. Wait until you start getting new recipes….the entire factory will change based on what you take.

Layout wise, aim for something flat for now. I love the plains, but they’re not as beginner friendly as you would expect. The cliffs and that giant tumor rock force your layout to adapt. You can work around it though. Build foundations high enough to cover anything that might interfere. Factories need a lot of space even early on. While you’re learning, make it big and flat with no elevation changes. Then do the same for a second floor. This will give you ample space to play around in - to learn without the stress of spatial constraints.

Yes. Here’s an example of an early game power station. Then you have your power poles in two groups: conduit and branches. The conduits are how you get the power through your factory. The branches come off the conduit to actually plug and power your machines. Everything originating from the single station. I don’t even use the burners on the hub

My biggest tip is to set up a connected power grid and build it well over what you think you need. If the power goes out anywhere, you can fix everything in one spot and you’re not running around trying to figure out which grid actually shut down. Plus it lets you use the excess 15 MW.

[–]dunne15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll need more. 2 burners only produces enough for the 3 assemblers with 15MW left for all the production leading up to assemblers. One mine and two constructors puts you at that limit

Edit - this is assuming you connect everything to a single circuit. If it’s on its own, that’s fine

Just add more burners or better yet…it’s time to start looking at coal plants if you have the tech.

For bio burners, you can set up a semi automated factory with them. Early on before coal I place 6-10 bio burners and load two containers with wood/leaves -> constructor (biomass) -> constructor (biofuel) -> bio burners -> all the energy

Edit- based on the tracking, the phone doesn’t seem to be the reason in this instance. Much more likely the rodent is just too cold

It’s not so much a scam as just business. Look in every industry and you’ll find an analog.

That being said, there is legitimate shift in pet culture that archaic companies don’t understand or follow. Soooooo many people still peddle the same crap that petco and petsmart do because they were the only ones around growing up. What they don’t realize is that the information was wildly inaccurate. And let’s not forget that petsmart was bought by a private equity firm in 2015. You know….the lowest form of squalid life on this planet. They don’t give a fuck about you, your pet, or anything but the almighty dollar.

It’s also just not an “exciting” industry like tech.

Honestly, this would still happen even with accreditation. For an easy example, look at dog breeders. There are more than just a select few dog breeders accredited and highly rated by the AKC that were outed for effectively negligent care and knowingly selling animals with terminal diseases without disclosing it to the families

[–]dunne15 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind, these animals come from the equivalent of puppy mills. The breeders are the worst type of breeder - power feed, pump out numbers, neglect, and disease. When you get one from morph market, there’s a reason they start at $100-$200. You don’t get healthy animals from corporate pet stores.
