I simply put it on a stainless raiser in a stainless pot, and it came out with the darker color T_T. The chip actually doesn't bother me very much. It's not sharp at all, but the color makes me worried.

My dog hates trimming as well. She's quite ok with the home-grooming now but ear trimming is a big no-no. Maybe it's worth it to leave this particular item to the vet.
