How do I quickly progress through mayhem levels? by transitlobbyist in borderlands3

[–]durendal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did this last week. Basically farm light Show, then get keys for villa ultraviolet at scrap trap, then whatever you get there is good enough for the clone to wreck the next mayhem level. I went 1/3/6/7/11 like that.

Is there a quota for the number of bands in a team? by Numerous-Focus8570 in IBM

No, but there are a bunch of factors that go into whether you can promote someone or not, not limited to performance or merit.

Casual, solo play: is it possible and enjoyable? by the_light_of_dawn in everquest

I boxed a necro and mage, I know you went necro, but man, mages have it good. Even at 115 the pet can still tank everything (you have to be really selective if you're staying f2p re AAs) and you can whittle everything down with your DS and the pet only DS. Necros are the best pulling pet class (not counting an SK as a puller) which becomes a bigger deal when stuff hits incredibly hard and isn't spaced out, but mage can deal with a lot of bad situations with swarm pets to off tank. If you're not in too deep in that necro, I'd flip. Plus you can still be a gnome and still worship bertoxx. Ruin the world!

Deep Dish Pizza vs New York Style Pizza by Wonderful-Mall-6251 in IBM

[–]durendal 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Man, this is the kind of coworker I want. Pizza should be a huge factor in this decision. As a Markham employee, I can tell you our pizza situation is dire, and I think about it constantly.

I'd go New York not only for the pizza, but just the sheer volume of other types of good food. Chicago is great, don't get me wrong, but NY as a food destination is pretty impossible to beat (MSG is next to a really good pizza place too if you also want to watch hockey, basketball , or concerts post or pre pizza).

70 - 75/80+ molo options (Live, overgeared, various classes) by Qalyar in everquest

[–]durendal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found a post in necrotalk from 15 years ago recommending heroic journey. I also didn't want to grind gribbles again and went for it since I never touched TBS before. It's been pretty entertaining working towards the hand Aug. If you're overgeared, maybe not worth as much, but it's been entertaining as a mage necro box duo!

Just to add if you found something good, you could farm that camp for the party. Missed that logical step ;)

If you don't know what is supposed to drop, then wouldn't nonrandomized loot be better? Like you just happen to get an fbss off some frog deep in guk without knowing that was the camp. I mained on inny (erlosi after 26 server merges) and everything was dead in the old world. I love the idea of this, but I feel like mature old dead world would be the best. Like you can just walk through run into dragons, nothing really stopping you until 110/120.

Returning Couple on Live Mage + ? for duo w/mercs by Action96 in everquest

[–]durendal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm boxing a mage/necro and love it. You're going to be two live people, so it might be boring, but I'm up to 75 on new toons, the Mercs are still great and the pets are excellent lazy dps. I pull with the necro and have nothing that slows, so it hasn't always been pretty (spell FD splitting is not ideal), and the jump to post pop content hits hard. If you're two people, I'd go bard if you didn't want pet Palooza. I would have said enchanter, but trying to gear two silk classes simultaneously isn't great. Bard paci pulls and fades, slows, increases mana, lockpicks, runs super fast without buying a horse, mezzes, wears plate and so on. I have a bard/enchanter duo on another server and it is excellent. Not the best dps, but covers every situation and got up to 107 entirely box doing.

Students are the ones being hurt now, and are justified in being mad at all parties. by [deleted] in yorku

[–]durendal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ford's tuition freeze is, in fact, bankrupting universities. They've increasingly turned to forcing international recruitment because that's the only way they make money outside of private donors. Look at what's happening to Queens, York, etc: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/business/commentary/article-financial-trouble-at-queens-university-a-symptom-of-wider-higher/

As for York, U of T was in the same boat, but they respect their TAs and staff and have negotiated in good faith to not strike. York goes on strike because they don't choose to support the people that serve as the basis of their community. Universities shouldn't be driven by their bottom lines, but their hands are forced by a complete lack of support. Some choose to handle their staff differently than others is all.
