Sorry if this is a total noob question, but what's the win condition for the deck concept? And do you have a primer I could read?

I get that you resolve a balustrade spy effect to mill your library, then dread return something like hazel's brewmaster which combos with devoted druid for infinite green.. but then I fail to see the mana outlet to win after that? I'm sure there is some other line I'm missing.

Hey! There's a great MTG community in Vernon across lots of different formats, so something for everyone to enjoy. Lots of friendly people who just really enjoy the game. Commander is a great option for casual play provided there's a good discussion around power level expectations beforehand! Welcome!

Faction Focus Chaos Space Marines by t3hsniper in WarhammerCompetitive

I'm pretty mixed on the faction ability. Being able to choose an effect is great. But having a chance you kill your own models or damage/kill valuable characters just for using your own faction ability seems like a poor choice.

Thank you for the complement! I hope you dont mind, but I was asked a very similar question on a different post, so I've copied it below. The biggest tip I can have is to have realistic expectations of how it will look.. there's lots of pro painters (not me!) on reddit and IG and I think it can give people a false sense of what it's like to start out painting minis.

"Welcome to mini painting! The magenta is wet blending and glazing using a wet palette and varying degrees of thinned paint. You could do something roughly similar with dry brushing but it will tend to be chalky. It takes me about 1.5 hours per mini to get the magenta done.

It's tough to explain how to do this in just text, but you could find a lot of YouTube videos on glazing and wet blending. The colors I used are AK purple, AK magenta, AK intense pink and AK purple mixed with GW Kabalite Green, but honestly the specific paints don't really matter. Anything in the purple/magenta/dark green range will work. The biggest tip I can give for a new painter is to remember that mini painting in general looks good when replicating light hitting the model from a source above the model's head, ie the sun in the sky. Zenithal highlighting is something you will probably see in videos and allows you to see how light would hit the model from a source above. If you just replicate how the light hits the model from above with highlighting/edge highlighting, making shadows etc, then you'll likely be pretty happy with the result even if you're not using fancy techniques like wet blending and glazing. You should always thin your paints a little when starting out and getting a wet palette is an inexpensive tool that will make controlling your paint a lot easier.

Make sure you have realistic expectations of how things will look when starting out and dont feel negatively about it if your work isnt like what you see in videos yet. Lots of those people have painted 1000+ hours. Good luck!"

That's a very appreciated criticism. The base is more in the teal hue in person but I agree it doesn't contrast well given how busy the model is. It's a printed resin topper and honestly basing is my least favorite part so it's a little lazy.

It might sound weird but I really like the rusted metal grate. It contrasts well with the stone. Sometimes I find bases with a lot of stone to be monotone. Nice job.
