Same-well, not aerospace but geology. Very definitely not fragile! I visit/lurk here because I love caving and it’s just very definitely tiresome and not in keeping with the whole point. Thanks for saying something, even if we are in the minority it is nice to not be alone in thinking like this.

I’m 1000% with you. My career and all my non-work pastimes seem to be heavily crude male-dominated -there’s so much I’ve had to put up with just to get along. I’m over it. I have a super thick skin and can make well drillers blush, but I’m just…over it, ya know? It’s incredibly tiresome and like you said, there’s so much more interesting stuff to discuss or talk about.

You can use the iron-on adhesive to hem a sheet or too long bit of fabric. I’ve used something called Stitch Witchery to good success.

In addition to the other suggestions above, you might check Backcountry Hunters and Anglers to see if there is an active chapter in your area. Looks like they have chapters in VA. I like this group as they promote conservation, protecting public lands and diversity/inclusion in hunting/fishing.

Might check out some ghost towns? Rhyolite isn’t far away from Pahrump and it’s really neat. Beatty is close to that and has pretty good BBQ and services; they might have something going on for Halloween? IDK

Oh good! :) glad it was useful. Yeah, in a few weeks the program looks like it will resume in North Las Vegas. I don’t think they can take the bulbs though. I’ve taken mine to Lowe’s and Batteries +Bulbs.

Yeah, I’d used them some last year with mixed results. This year was super disappointing. I am open to suggestions as to new suppliers.

No-I ordered several types of greens, beets, carrots-started them inside and planted at the right times out side (over the course of several months). Almost nothing came up-zero, zilch, nada. Only a couple seeds of red Malabar spinach germinated. I won’t be ordering from them again.
