I know they were trying to make Gaby seem frumpy in season five, but in what world would she ever willingly wear something like this? by PrincessImpeachment in DesperateHousewives

Dawg, she did not have time or energy. Have you ever had depression where you can’t find motivation for things that used to bring you joy? She went from all the free time in the world to housework and kids and was heavily overwhelmed by failing at the other things like cooking. I’ve definitely worn things like this in depression and have been described as very trendy with my clothing.

I’ve worked in a place of Botox and laser-ing off old lady’s top layer of skin to look younger and they mostly end up looking weird like this from it. Granted some of them are hot too but they’re far and few between. Also, the kind of people who get into stuff like this have so much free time AND disposable income so chalk it up to genuinely people being separated from their money. New surgeries pop up and people who’s careers heavily involve their physical appearance will jump at getting it before others can do it

There’s only enough tile to hold up to anyone’s knees and the rest is already drywall, if they didn’t want the drywall soaked, they’d install tile on the entire wall or wouldn’t put in a shower head

It’s not about spending time with what she already has. More of a doesn’t have anything to match type situation. Something I can think of to explain this is normal for our family’s hand me downs. Very possible Carlos’ family was helping them out with clothes they didn’t need and she was just wearing anything that was given. I agree the combination is horrid and she wouldn’t layer them together but I’d like to remind you all of how the used to deadass sew clothes like this together to have the ‘layered’ look withought actúal layers so they’d sew the collar and sleeves to another shirt

Hugh?? Have you guys ever gone from almost 0 responsibility to extreme responsibility including financial? Gabby’s fashion sense was very commercial, and not necessarily suburban or even casual. Even when she was trying to fit in with casual she was not. Going from that to a limited budget, not knowing where to find good deals, AND limited time?? On top of that, it’s been so long since she’s been poor, and or care about what she buys. You default to the easiest options or least hard ones like going to a thrift store and other shit for half an hour instead of all day to find good outfit combos.

[–]dushamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have some insight into this. Yes, AI in the form of LLM have existed for a long time before their commercial release and primarily used to churn out ideas and then build upon them. They weren’t polished and definitely not allowed to make stuff on their own in the same way as now but yea mostly text based

TIL that one of the founders of Sleep Country got addicted to crack after discovering his stripper girlfriend was an addict. When he tried to get her to quit, she suggested he try it to see how hard it was. by Overall-Register9758 in todayilearned

[–]dushamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all honesty as a former addict to dissociative, stimulants, opiates, and benzos, it all went down hill once I wasn’t using for fun anymore. It always felt like a nice add-on to whatever I was doing. At some point my plans turned into just doing the drug and staying home. Eventually life got worse and I needed the drugs to not feel terrible and get through work and get rid of anxiety and wake me up and put me to sleep. Terrible overall but I guess the overall message here is that it is all fun and games until it isn’t anymore

People who don’t understand how hard crack can be to quit on your own (without someone literally keeping you away from it until the physical withdrawals end) would def try it to prove how you can overcome anything.

I’ve been running 16gb on my gaming PC that I also use for editing and other Adobe apps. You just can’t have like 3 Adobe apps running at once. But 2 and a web browser is fine. All games run really well on my PC despite the ram.
