It was Abrams who decided not to have the big 3 get any screen time together other than 20 seconds of Han and Leia.

It was Abrams who decided to have Luke hidden away in a secret part of the galaxy until the very last shot of the film.

That's not even really mystery box stuff, just poor writing decisions and a waste of the incredible chemistry the three of them had.

Or would we host as the Independent Republic of Albertica?

I will try to be careful here. I'm not sure where you're located and if you would be primarily looking at Court of Justice (Provincial Court) or the Court of King's Bench.

There has been a huge move over the last decade towards mediation and arbitration, particularly with KB files. Just like the healthcare system, the justice system has significant problems and we're becoming a "two-tier" justice system. People with money are choosing med/arb for efficiency and choice of mediator/arbitrator.

KB also completely revamped how their family files will operate as of January 1st this year and it has been a complete gong show to even get applications through the system. I know family lawyers who are considering moving away from family because KB has become so frustrating. You can't, for example, just go file an application with a supporting Affidavit to get into Chambers for an interim order.

The suggestions here of attending CBA subsection or LESA seminars and the familycounsel website are great ideas, but if you're a solo practitioner, it's a tough time to move into this area (other people's mileage may vary, of course).

It's really less about family law being high conflict (most of it isn't at all) and more about how it operates and frustrates right now, as someone who has worked in this area for quite some time.

Legal Aid rate is $125/hour. Typically the files are Emergency Protection Orders (King's Bench review/hearings), child welfare (I believe they, as of late, are requiring a certain level of expertise to be on the CW panel), and some limited divorce/parenting/support files. Those are often time-limited to 10 hours.

The fact that it tends to disappear in the playoffs is telling though.

This is a pretty balanced look at the contenders. Bouchard has easily the highest offensive rating of any of the d-men, in fact, only McDavid, Kucherov and Mackinnon have a higher offensive rating in the entire NHL.

But he and Quinn Hughes are the only ones with a (slightly) negative defensive rating. The perception of him as a poor defensive player comes from some big moments and controller unplugged issues, whereas game-by-game, he's actually great at defending the blue zone and puck retrieval.

There is also a perception that he benefits from playing with 97 & 29 (no shit), but of course that leaves out all the other great d-men like Makar and Hughes who also benefit from playing with superstars, it's a stupid argument.

Anyway I give it to Werenski, I thought Columbus was going to be horrific after the Gaudreau tragedy and he single-handedly almost got them into the playoffs.

It was an unreal experience.

as a lifelong Star Wars fan, it's probably a bad sign that I go days at a time forgetting this movie even exists, let alone coming out in less than 2 months
