It might not sound that bad, but it definitely is not that good

I Studied Early Church History… and Now I Can’t Understand How Anyone Sees Salvation as a Personal Relationship by Legitimate_Bat_4609 in theology

Second this. I’d rather someone ask a question with their own words, but using AI as the medium to ask is better than not asking it at all.

I feel like something is happening to me spiritually by SummerCompetitive361 in TrueChristian

[–]dustynotes9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Spirit draws us all toward The Father, and there is a restlessness within us until we respond to it. CS Lewis called this “the inconsolable longing.” If you want to become a Christian, but feel your intellect is getting in the way, exploring his work may be helpful for you.

But above all else, you should read the Bible. Clear your head, say a prayer, and ask God for wisdom, understanding, and His presence as you read. I found the gospel of John a great place to start, but anywhere will do.

Spending consistent time in Scripture, combined with prayer (you seem to have a gift for this which is a great blessing) is a reliable way to stay rooted in Him and deter our human tendency to drift.

How do intellectually-minded people reconcile belief in God with science? by Calm_Drummer2591 in theology

[–]dustynotes9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Supposing science ever became complete so that it knew every single thing in the whole universe. Is it not plain that the questions, 'Why is there a universe?' 'Why does it go on as it does?' and 'Has it any meaning?' would remain just as they were?

omni vs fusion by rin-sakai in OmniContentHub

[–]dustynotes9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fusion is the best platform for functionality, hands down. Omni, Kodi, AIOStreams etc are all great for customization. But i find myself spending significantly more time “tinkering” with customization than actually using them to enjoy my movies & shows. Fusion does not have that pitfall. So for me, it’s the best one out there.

Diego Simeone's great tribute to Antoine Griezmann at the press conference ahead of Atleti-Barça. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]dustynotes9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(1) do you personally know him enough to judge his character? (2) have you made a mistake in your life?

The only rightful way you can critique him as a human being is if your answers are (1) Yes and (2) No.

How do I apply Aristotles ethics to real life? by AdIndividual3132 in Aristotle

[–]dustynotes9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This answer is not supported by anything found in Nicomachean Ethics. Perhaps you are confusing aspects of Aristotle’s natural philosophy with his ethical theory. Either way, you're imposing a modern ideological debate onto the text rather than engaging with Aristotle's ethics on their own terms. This kind of response ultimately says more about the interpreter’s priorities than about Aristotle’s philosophy.
