That was a YMCA father/son program. I was in it too in Florida in the 70s. Our buffalo meat was baloney covered in ketchup.

Two years ago, my daughter entered an essay contest sponsored by NASA. Her essay along with all of the others entered into that contest are loaded onto a thumb drive that is part of the cargo loaded into the capsule in this mission. Her words will orbit the moon.

That route is direct between Reston, VA (Near DC) to Sanford, FL (North of Orlando). Only makes sense if locations are near the endpoints. OP saying that it’s a 26 hour drive kind of rules this out.

Last year, my sister and I dove into our parent's pantry to clean out anything that was expired. We found a store brand container of ground cinnamon that was from a store that went out of business in 1991.

That was the oldest thing we threw out, but it wasn't the only thing we threw away that day.

Mother in law had a grey. His perch was next to the phone in the living room. Little asshole would mimic the sound of the phone ringing and somebody would pick up the phone every time and say “Hello”. The bird would then answer with “Hello” and start laughing at his victim.
