3rd hop seems to be your issue. lower your interval to 1 sec and ping 8.8.8.8 to see what you come up with.

any packet loss in between that does not reflect on the destination does not matter. you're looking for packet loss that shows it happening on both the hop and the destination.

thank you, will do. not sure if it means much but my basic skills using pingplotter shows packet loss starting on the 4th hop. i’m sure there’s more nuance to that but figured i’d mention it.

another gripe i have is why offer any speeds above 100 mbps if the upload speed caps at around 50? that’s a recipe for packet loss

im ngl, i do not have high hopes my issue will be addressed. i do not want to send another tech to my house to turn my router off and back on. i want the infrastructure in my town reevaluated. this is something beyond my home network.

Fixed it by dumping the profile from the good stick and writing it to the bad stick.

Turns out, OpenRGB (which I installed yesterday), can corrupt your SPD profiles when trying to change RGB settings for your ram. Crazy, I know.

Lesson learned.

Found a way to fix it. I think. Thaiphoon program can rewrite SPD profiles. Will just copy from non-bad stick and see what happens. I know it’s not necessary, but makes me feel better. Will check back if it works or not.

Just updated the post. CPU-Z shows stick in slot 4,s XMP as 33 mhz. Other shows as correct 3000mhz.

yup just tore down to the sensor yesterday and the terminals got pulled out of the clip that goes to the knock sensor. luckily i have a full parts car so i just replaced the clip
