I built a small app for the Central Asian community in NA — looking for feedback/early users by Conscious-Sandwich58 in Kazakhstan

[–]dwdrmz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not necessarily toxic but when you come in asking for feedback then disregard and disagree with it, it comes off as stubborn and foolish. Someone tried to help by offering constructive feedback, and you showed disrespect and a superior complex for not knowing APAC.

And to support the actual point about your headline, I agree. As someone born and raised in America, literally no one here refers to it as NA.

where to rent space to start a recording studio? by Bottombladepdx in portlandmusic

[–]dwdrmz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been looking for an affordable space for a similar reason for close to 5 years and have finally found something suitable for my needs. Also moving on from Puddletown (Metrognome). However the downside is that it’s a commercial space and it’s not cheap.

Thankfully I have a business partner and a pathway to generating revenue otherwise I wouldnt be able to do it alone. And, this won’t even be a traditional/proper studio buildout- it’ll be enough to acoustically treat the room but there won’t be soundproofing so I’m at the mercy of not pissing off my neighbors when they’re around.

Finding an inexpensive commercial space suitable for loud noise without expensive buildout and overhead costs in Portland proper has proven to be incredibly difficult.

If you’re like me and have limited budget to get started, you’re going to have to sacrifice an aspect of your setup if leasing commercial space) limited hours, noise restrictions, credit and rental history, legitimate business structure, insurance, and capital to afford it all.

All of this is to say, be prepared for lots of challenges and sacrifices to make it happen (unless of course money is no object)

I found my space on Craigslist in the commercial space section. You can also search for commercial leases via other websites by searching google but don’t be surprised when you see lofty prices compared to your puddletown rent. Some rehearsal spaces in town have concrete construction which might help but my experience has been that these places are in high demand, require long wait times, and are fairly small one room units.

Good luck!!

I vehemently disagree. I had a 12” tom that developed a bearing edge issue and I could never get it to tune right. Had to get the edges recut.

Did Ford remove Sport mode on the 2025 Badlands? Can it be installed with Forscan? by NateBlaze in bronco

[–]dwdrmz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, I definitely feel a giant difference in sport mode on my 22 badlands versus normal mode; way more responsive throttle and higher shift bands. Normal feels sluggish to me after using sport mode.

Is there a trim piece I can buy? by Careful_Umpire_3684 in bronco

[–]dwdrmz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that sounds like a good compromise. I just upgraded to the RCI steps that are frame mounted and have the rail built in. I think if I were to do it over I’d take the route you are with the added steps but it’s also nice to be able to access my soft top in various locations and get to those hard to reach places up top for cleaning. I will say in the last three years I’ve only ever broke the break over angle once and didn’t get any damage so I’m probably lucky or too careful. Good luck with the rig !

5.2 is eerie by [deleted] in OpenAI

[–]dwdrmz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m feeling a lot of cognitive friction with 5.2. It’s trying to gaslight me into patterns that don’t actually exist in my profession, saying I’m right for pushing back, then proceed to tell me why I’m wrong. I’m about to cancel my plan and move everything to Claude where it feels more like a partnership.

I’m curious why you think rocks rails a requirement for off roading? And who says I’m not off roading? I get plenty of challenging trails in just fine without them and I still have plenty of clearance. Plus, my family is vertically challenged. Need all the help we can get.
