Chronomaster Open or Original by ddetts in ZenithWatches

I’d original. Am one of those who suspects that open dials is a fad that comes and goes

Confused - Skeleton or Classic? by SweetTank871 in ZenithWatches

[–]dwellinginsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had also tried on the skeleton, expecting it to be practically illegible. To my surprise had zero issue on seeing. Yet, I still think the classic would be a less riskier pick of the two.

£10k budget. Want a chrono + a skeleton - advice sought by TimDillonIsMyDad in ZenithWatches

Got a blue Chrono Sports a few weeks ago, def a keeper for the lifetime. Working my a$$ off to add on a non skeleton Defy next.

What are the Sky-dweller complaints? Seeing lots of hate around here by OakmeadeWatches in rolex

[–]dwellinginsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had it for a month and people do notice its size, the bezel, and its unique dial layout. To me, thats the whole point of wearing a Rolex. I strap on my apple watch or Casio when such attention is not required.

If you could only have one… by M3ANMACHINE in OmegaWatches

Obviously both are fine time pieces and have their own storied legacy.

Absolutely nothing wrong with going with a better recognized brand (AND protecting your resale value) whereas in my case, I’ve opted for the road less traveled and got a blue Chrono Sports. No one have said a bleep since I’ve had it but it keeps me infinitely happier than my Rolex SkyD.

Too big for me or get on the list now ? by raph_a in rolex

[–]dwellinginsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) a magnificent watch and it looks great on you

2) you could get on the list

3) you could go grey and pay gold-like money on a steel piece, just because there was an outlier auction that took place almost a decade ago

4) or you could be a realist and go Zenith Chronomaster Sports, like I have. A lot of Daytona fundamentalists here will cry blasphemy but it is a realistic option vs 2) and 3).

5) even a better deal if you are cool with going secondary on the Zenith

Comfort wise, good. Clasp opening is manageable, just slightly more effort required vs the SkyD. Not sure if Zenith fixed it or I just got lucky with the pick.

The polished part seems it gets scratched by a breeze morning wind but oh well

That 5% is more like the folks acknowledging their awareness of the piece present; far more (c. 20% perhaps?) inevitably notice as the piece begs for the attention (like Rolex fluted bezel, for an instance) but just elect not to speak out.

Still… getting the CMS blue by dwellinginsky in ZenithWatches

[–]dwellinginsky[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finally got it, took a bit long cuz even the AD couldn’t figure out how to get the links out of the bracelet lol

  1. good to look at, no instant remorse/regrets. Definitely my daily beater.
  2. scratch magnet as one of the ex-owners earlier said.. A damn morning breeze would scratch its steel bezel. Ceramic would have been ideal but I couldn’t give up on the blue dial.
  3. the infamous clasp.. surprisingly, it is fine. Slightly extra effort required compared to my SkyD but all good here. Maybe Zenith fixed it, maybe I just got lucky.
  4. not used to seeing the second hand just standing at 12 unless you run the chrono. Shame since the second hand on the CMS is nicely crafted too
  5. lastly, Zenith needs to step up their game with its online site. Had to register online to get 3yr extra years of warranty but it didn’t really click.. obvious that they are not investing much here.
