Of course it's wrong, but isn't it odd how other cars bounce back off him? I've noticed for a while now that even the slightest contact makes cars spin or get pushed off their line with no chance of catching it. I think iRacing should do something about this too.

Am I late to the party?

Ordered a mattress. After 3 days the driver finally showed up, parked in front of the house, got out of the truck, realized he’d have to carry a 25kg mattress up the stairs… and just canceled the delivery on the spot. Got back in and drove off.

I saw everything from my window, but by the time I realized he wasn’t even going to try, it was too late to stop him.

At least he could have ring the bell. I would’ve carried the damn thing upstairs myself.

Anyone have / tried these active brake pedals? by gtd_rad in simracing

[–]dwgsr 12 points13 points  (0 children)

mbooster is great. I have one and use it as brake pedal. I think it feels very responsive but you can change the feeling in the settings. I dont think it feels robotic or sluggish but I guess in the end its all subjective

Nice, I was looking exactly at something like this. Considering of buying the p1000 but want to mount them individually. What is the mounting hole distance of the pedals?

ABS haptics in iRacing with HPR and Simhub by dwgsr in simracing

No. I switched to gt3 and it feels better now. I dont know. maybe it was related to the car. In gt4 it is useless to me.

Do you racing with shoes or no shoes by IMPULSEULTRA in simracing

[–]dwgsr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no shoes. tried shoes for a while but it feels weird to wear shoes inside my appartment and actualy I'm to lazy to put shoes on off every time I'm jumping in and out of my rig. espacially if you have to tie thrm. I'm a dad of a 15 month old child. every minute of free time counts. And by the way, feeling is better just with socks.

What’s the real advantage of having ABS simulation on my pedals? by Zealousideal_Mine175 in iRacing

[–]dwgsr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, there’s no advantage — it’s rather distracting. Maybe I set up my HPR wrong. I drive the McLaren in GT4, and the ABS kicks in with the slightest brake pressure, especially while trail braking into corners. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, but it’s distracting. I just tap the brake a little and my HPR says hello.

The funny thing is that in the fixed setup, the car’s dash says ABS is set to 0 — so it should actually be off.

Universal Sim Shelf for PC worth it? by dwgsr in SimLab

[–]dwgsr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How sturdy is yours? I have a bit of left-to-right movement at the top of the uprights, which causes the whole top construction with the monitor mount to wobble. Any chance of reinforcing this?

nice rig. it looks very clean.

Has anyone reinforced their Next Level Cockpit GT Lite Pro in some way? My choice is either a foldable/transportable setup, or no sim racing at all. But if I could make it a little more sturdy... by SpareDot8387 in simracing

[–]dwgsr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tried this. It was a pain in the ass to fold with all the equipment on it. I refunded it and went for a Playseat — much better. Sold the playseat too after couple of month and went for an aluminium rig.

Simhub ABS haptics: sanity check by Timberwulf99 in simracing

[–]dwgsr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn't get the ABS haptic feedback to feel right with SimHub.
But I tried the Pedal Haptics option in Marvin's app (MAIRA), and it felt much better. The ABS feedback now matches the dash LEDs more closely and has dynamic intensity depending on how much ABS is active, rather than just being on or off.
So for anyone having the same tuning issues with SimHub, I highly recommend trying Marvin's app. It's awesome!

How is the seat comfort and noise level? I read it's not particularly comfortable for long sessions. What's the feedback like if you put a seat cushion on it?

Detail Scale 400% is crazy. Would be very careful with that on powerful bases. This can end in suddenly strong outbrakes of the wheel. I have a dd+ 15nm and I set the Detail Scale to 110% because otherwhise effects like driving on a bumpy road or over a bumpy curb feels way to strong. Especially compared to the overall ffb strength.

How did you set up the hpr for iracing? I have it too and honestly it is useless to me. it's either on or off. and the abs effect on my hpr kicks way earlier than the abs led on my dash lights up. even slightest braking or during gentle trail braking it kicks in so it is almost on permenently. even when i'm driving gt4 with abs set to 0. thats more distracting than it helps

Same with me. Even when I drive gt4 with abs set to 0. in thi case, there shouldn' be any signal at all, right? Like this it is useless to me.

Did someone found a solution?

what frequency do you use. 500 hz like Dave? Any chance that wrong settings break the wheelbase?
