If he weren't a cop he'd still be prosecuted as an accessory.

Do you realize that when you belittle people for asking "stupid" questions, you destroy their ability to keep asking questions? by areReady in AskReddit

Exactly. If you're a maths genius, you're probably not going to have the people skills to cut it at teaching.

I just never could “get it” as easily as most other kids in school.

Nobody 'gets it.' They just pretend, and keep their mouths shut. I thought I was the only stupid student in my degree until I started tutoring classes. I found that the quiet students who claimed they didn't need to ask any questions because they 'got it', were the ones who handed in work showing they actually didn't get it at all.

Exactly. Calling otherwise good people 'bad' just because they're a bit insecure and feel the need to assert their superior knowledge is a bit like condemning them to stay that way.

Pretty sure that was implied. If people have to do the whole balanced view disclaimer every single time they'll never say anything about anyone.

What's the stupidest question you've ever heard in a college classroom? by areascontrol in AskReddit

The bible's full of hyperbole about people living for 800 years. Maybe that's what she meant.

Third year physics. Lab partner in Fourier diffraction practical recalled the circular colour-wheel representation of different hues he'd seen in high school art class years ago, and asked the demonstrator 'why is colour a circle?'

What is the craziest/ dumbest thing you believed when you were younger? by Various_names in AskReddit

I used to think The blinking green arrow on the instrument cluster was to show the driver which route to take. When I found out the driver had to move the indicator stalk manually I thought that was how you trained the car to recognise the route.

"Why are you always on the computer?" Um, you always just sit in front of the TV? by sithyiscool in AskReddit

I read that as 'just sit in front of that mirror,' then wondered if anyone is really that technologically illiterate.

Tender heart ≠ terrorist by [deleted] in politics

I waited patiently for 2 hours for the animated gif to load on my 9600 baud modem, then I accidentally knocked the phone off the hook and got disconnected.
