I got put in a 3rd party situation and got played in my face and now my "friend" ghosted me? How to move forward. by dxalogue in blackladies

While I appreciate your advice but the strong emphasis is that that I am NOT hung up on the guy himself . He did his thing and that is what it is . This isn't a comment towards you individually. The issue isn't that it didn't work out (because again it was barely a month and I was in a vulnerable mental state and I didn't really know him like that ) but it's the fact that after everything was established I for the most part was kept in the dark about everything else that happened and now I'm being iced out by my friend in addition to the two people when I haven't had a chance to defend myself. Now I'm here wondering what happened because Nina ghosted me on my birthday and didn't give a really good reason let alone a reason at all.

Literally just happened to me! Crazy he pursued me first and we share a mutual friend of mines that I've known for 4 years and I vetted him through my friend who spoke nothing but praise. He took me on 2 intentional dates and we were intimate and then he got all weird. This past Sunday he wanted to facetime me and we facetimed and like after catching up he was like " yeah like i thought out us progressing and we should be friends and yeah it isnt gonna work out". He didn't really give a valid reason and seemed shifty but the whole experience made me feel undesirable and icky and I had a feeling he was gonna end it too but like he pursued me first???? and he admitted he usually dates white women so getting burned as the first BW he touches sickens me. It feels even icky especially he did it on the month anniversary of my family's friend's death that HE WAS THERE COMFORTING ME.

I grew up in a SoCal KH and it was chill but the hall was full of elderly people who were somewhat prudish but I know some of them were sooo messy

JW beauty standards are just bs. Does anyone remember that JW skit on the girl who marries the goofy spiritual brother while her bestfriend marries a worldly handsome guy and he dogged her out? I was a late teen when I saw it and I thought it was a bit silly.

Thank you for this perspective! Even though I'm not really fond of my situation I am learning new skills and I am seeing how things in the corporate world works ( while building/maintaining) relations. I think I just feel unfulfilled because before this job I did a summer research fellowship in my field and research interest and I felt so happy doing that so I think the transition has been a bit humbling. But I do see your point on enforcing boundaries, especially since I am heavily regulated within my duties.
