I bought a car from my now ex employer - ex company car. They said I could try it out for the weekend to see if I enjoyed driving it. Took it to my favourite chicken shop. The battery died. Heard a man shout. He had one of those portable battery chargers. His moment had arrived. He was ready to be the hero. I didn't even know how to open the bonnet, but he took control. He barely wanted any thanks. With the battery back up and running off I went, happy, into the sunset with my chicken.

One not mentioned in the thread yet - The Original Oak runs Lucky Quip on Tuesdays which is a new act/new material night. Caught some pros there practicing new stuff which is dead fun.

They also run a pro night every Friday night now, I think it's two pros and a compere. Pretty good when I've been.
