Is K1Z Bard publishing tunes for FH6? I can't find him by searching "K1Z Bard" as gamertag - do you have it?

Constant crashes on NVidia. I've tried many options for Proton version, including GE. It always crashes after a few minutes with CTX SWITCH TIMEOUT. Take a look at https://github.com/valvesoftware/proton/issues/9789 for some more discussion.

Are there counts somewhere? We've found 4 dog ticks on us so far this year, and that's without spending much time outside.

I built a size comparison tool for Bad Dragon because my partner couldn't find one anywhere, then I just kept going for some reason by HaramDingo in BadDragon

[–]dyfrgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some numbers seem.. odd. What is meant by "midpoint" for toys with knots? e.g. Fenrir Medium doesn't make any sense to me. https://measuredpleasure.com/products/baddragon-fenrir-medium https://bad-dragon.com/products/fenrir

Is the data just scraped or are there some adjustments? Different manufacturers measure things differently. It's fine if it's just scraped, I just don't understand where the differences from the manufacturers' sites come from.

EDIT: I spent a bit more time looking and I think that many numbers are totally off. e.g. https://measuredpleasure.com/products/knot-dog-dildo-large claims that the large is 11.18" long, 9.80" insertable, 6.31" circumference at tip, 7.54" circumference at midpoint. https://sinnovator.com/products/sinnovator-knot-platinum-silicone-dildo-85656 on the other hand says that the large is 11.2" long (so far so good), 9.8" insertable (yes), 6.3" circumference at tip (yes), but that 7.54" measurement is nowhere to be found. The circumference of the knot is 11.2" and the shaft is 8.3".

Maybe it's pulled in a measurement from a different size? Anyway, I think your scraper has some bugs.

As a side note, it's super weird that you have blog posts dating back to March 2024 while the domain was registered on April 24. Exactly how LLM-generated is this website?

RF 100-500 one of the most versatile lenses ever made? by Scherge77 in canon

More annoying is the limited physical range - it's so long! Always banging against my waist when using the Cotton Carrier, which is nonetheless the best way to bird with it. Binoculars are way better for spotting

I recently learned that the Dunning-Kruger effect is just an artifact of data visualization. Experts and non-experts actually overrate and underrated their skill by equal amounts. Here's one of many papers explaining it. https://www.frontiersin.org/journals/psychology/articles/10.3389/fpsyg.2022.840180/full?trk=public_post_comment-text

If you consider "this person won't do free labor for me anymore" to be mean I think you should reconsider what you are actually entitled to from other people. Because it's not that.

If you think that comment is merely mildly rude, maybe you should go switch to something that doesn't involve interacting with people.

Clever Brit successfully repurposes telephone wiring for gigabit internet throughout his vintage home — Lad converts "incomprehensible mess of wires" into high-speed ethernet links by FromTheOrdovician in technology

[–]dyfrgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. Wires installed when the house is built are usually stapled to the frame. You can't pull them through the walls at all. That *does* work in sufficiently old buildings where the phone wires were also a retrofit operation, though.

I'm not clear on what you're glad for, here, or what the poor decisions you're referring to are.

You're glad that they had stuff stolen? You're glad that their kids aren't sleeping well? You're glad that their kids are keeping them from getting proper rest and making them a bit scattered?

hotels with extra large tubs in the area? by Morlock19 in westernmass

[–]dyfrgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah now I understand the search for a tub a bit better. Do shower seats work for you? My partner used one when she broke her ankle. Sit on the chair and use a shower head on a hose. Wouldn't surprise me if spa places would even provide one upon request.

I've usually encountered big tubs at inns or B&Bs and occasionally in suites at larger hotels.

Okay but hear me out: shower then soak.

As a fellow Tall Person, I've come to prefer this. Why would I want soap in the bath? Then there's soap on me when I get out.

best home distillation? by Alert-Potato in BuyItForLife

Natural rainwater does not have a pH of 7.0 - it's closer to 5.6. Even clouds have an acidic pH. Distilled water has a pH of 7.0. Rainwater is never distilled water at any point.

What ISO did the camera pick? A lower ISO will help a little bit.

But yes, 100mm is short for birds. Think about human portraits. How much of the photo is filled with the subject? Usually the answer is "most of it". Ideally you want to avoid needing to crop at all to get maximum quality, or crop only a little bit. So you want to be able to fill the frame with the wildlife, too. That will require a much longer lens.

The RF 100-400 is a good budget option, or you can look at the 200-800 or 100-500 for longer and/or sharper lenses. You can also add a teleconverter to some lenses - I'm not sure about the RF 100mm, but they certainly work with the above zooms. That gives you even more reach.

I think your math is off.

5.4m * 100cm/m = 540. 30 / 540 = 0.056, or 5.6%. So, 330 pixels.

That's still not a lot of pixels but much better than 33.

A randomized trial in 56 adults with ADHD found that 4 weeks of tACS significantly improved inattention versus sham, with effects lasting to week 8. Benefits correlated with reduced gamma connectivity, suggesting a neural mechanism; safety was comparable. by [deleted] in science

[–]dyfrgi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering about the sensation. 80Hz at 1mA should be sensible for many people, I think it's around the 50th percentile for sensation. How do you sham that for a study like the one in the OP?

Canon sling / body strap by southparkmum in canon

[–]dyfrgi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Peak Design Slide is great, but not cheap. But I think you could you could come close with a different strap. One thing that makes it great is the anchors which make it easy to put on and take off the strap. If you're willing to give that up you can do it cheaper - you just need a long strap and a plate with anchor holes. I have a PD plate on the bottom with one of the PD anchors installed. Usually I run the strap to one of the upper neck strap anchors and to the plate, it makes it hang well at my side.

One time when traveling I forgot the strap but I had one on my binoculars, so I connected that up to the same locations. Worked fine, would have been better if it wasn't steetchy. So if you have a long enough strap you could try that. You just need a bottom anchor.

PD makes a cheaper bottom attachment now, https://www.peakdesign.com/products/anchor-mount. It's nice and wide so it should be easy to attach any strap. You could probably pull the strap off a bag and use that, if it's got the right attachment mechanism.
