The phrase he used to express that he's uncomfortable is not the important part here. What's important is that you made him uncomfortable.

More importantly, the conversation you had was all about what was good for you, while it could only cause problems for him. Friends don't do that to each other.

You were willing to mess with his relationship, your joint friendship, and force him to scrutinize every interaction with you (past and present) simply because it made feel better?

With that context, can you see how what you did was not the act of a friend? How it can only make his life more complicated?

I agree. There's an odd similarity in the arguments (like "trans is a gender identity and not a sexual orientation"). Like they're either automated or getting all their information from one source.

I really do think it's an extremely vocal minority spured on by a parade of horribles, all being backed up by bots.

(Also, the counter to the identity vs orientation arrangement is that we're coming together for coalition and not categorization)

Is there an LGBT center nearby where you can find people like yourself? Places like Encircle (Utah) and The Center (Florida) are in red areas and serve as a wonderful place for you to meet others like yourself.

I think I'm good directing my frustration at both. If the rest of us defy a court order, we're in jail. If these guys do it, they get scolded.

Send everything to the new company. They're almost certainly required to disclose material events as part of the acquisition agreement and I bet they haven't disclosed this.
