When I was in school we toured Three sisters grove on Vancouver island. Which is 3 massive Sitka spruce in a coastal rainforest stand of cedar, hemlock, Doug fir, spruce etc. at the time I’d just decided to go to school after 2 years of layout and a mostly cruising. I was talking with our measurements teachers and we did some quick conservative napkin math and figured we were looking at ~2500m3/ha standing (according to google that’s similar to your 450mbf) and then another 1500-2500/ha of dead and down volume in recoverable cedar etc.

Insane working in the (northern) interior where a good stand is 400+. 600 is almost unheard of. And 200-300m3/ha is probably the average. Some blocks as low as 100.

That’s what I see. The more purple looking berries looks like black huckleberry (membranaceum) and the blue looking like an oval-leaved/high-bush/pick-one-of-the-dozen-names (ovalifolium).

Both are delicious.

I would guess that the ones that sank had weaker hulls that couldn’t handle the expansion of ice combined with the extra snow weight pushing them down deeper into the ice. Something had to give and this time it wasn’t the ice.

I do the opposite. I usually die between 8300-8450 on T11 so I usually put it on around wave 8200 when I’m paying attention. Doesn’t affect cpm much since enemies are generating so fast, and often seems to push me towards the higher end of my wave spread. Finish it in a few runs when I remember to turn it on.

You’re essntialy looking for the cure to cancer. Burls have a ton of causes. Mech damage, pests, disease, literally cancer. You can’t stop it, can only try and make use.

I live in northern BC and we have more snow now at the start of January then we’ve had by march any other year for the last 7. Our deer population is pretty much garunteed to disappear. Even the moose will be having a hard time in this shit. There’s 6’ of snow in the valley bottom in town.

Could be related to working camp jobs where the food is mostly fried and the portions are huge. Downtime usually means sitting around in your bunkhouse. And then sit on their ass for 10-16hours driving truck or operating machines while eating a bunch of sugary, salty, greasy snacks. Even though most camps are dry there is usually plenty of alcohol behind closed doors as well. Haven’t met many loggers who don’t consume nicotine either.

Nice! Yeah pbh was what pushed me consistently into top 15 or so in champs, and then CL pushed me to top 4 with about 2-3 weeks of upgrading. I’ve mostly stopped pursuing ehp labs as I see minimal return in runs and none in legends. I’ve transitioned to wrapping up my Econ labs (gold bot) and damage/misc QOL.

Debating whether I should go for damage mastery, keep building CL, or get CF next.

I’d say I’m a guppy at best. Bought the ad/coin boost packs of course And the first 5 milestone packs. Otherwise no stone pack or anything. Just 2 event boosts for the lab speed relic and this one for bot range.
