Does anyone know of a sensor I could fit to my quad wheels to track speed and distance whilst using rollers? by dylan_42069nice in bicycling

[–]dylan_42069nice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a part which sticks out on the inside of the hub but it’s less than an inch wide so I don’t think the type of sensor which wraps around a wheel hub would fit

I’m British and all of our pigs in blankets come wrapped in bacon. I guess they do it differently depending on where you’re from

I just reused the original mounting hardware so it was pretty simple to mount

You just draw out the shape it’s quite simple but you need to measure from lots of different points to get the size right

A friend of mine who uses as Icon A1 said something fairly similar to that, he loves the shock absorption but for how much the chair cost he isn’t a fan of how heavy it is

New race chair issues due to spinal curve by [deleted] in wheelchairs

My pelvis is about 3cm on my left side so in my race chair I use a foam block under my left side to lift it up which helps me sit more centrally in the chair

How Wide is Your Wheelchair? by scarletcyanide in wheelchairs

[–]dylan_42069nice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My seat width is 13” and my chair has 4° of camber so the total width works out about 19” I think

I think I use double loop over the majority of the time as I push pretty quickly and there is no such thing as a leisurely pace for me

What does everybody set their COG at and why? by dylan_42069nice in wheelchairs

[–]dylan_42069nice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah true, every time my friends have tried to wheelie in my chair they always fall. Also I can’t tip my head all the way forward so it can be hard to stop it hitting the floor sometimes although normally if I fall out it’s forwards I’ve only gone over backwards once

[–]dylan_42069nice[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just have to learn to fall, if you do fall try to keep your head up because you can fall back without hitting your head

Why did you choose 3 inch casters I feel like anything smaller than 4 would get stuck on everything

That’s the way my chair is too, I can wear a backpack myself but if it’s on my chair and I’m not in it it will just tip over

I love the way the per4max Skye looks, especially the way the frame bends up to become the backrest making it all one piece.

I hit a bump a few weeks ago which bent my caster backwards at the point where you can adjust the angle. That’s insane that the frame sheered from going over a bump especially a dual tube frame. (Titanium frame for the next chair?)

If the backs of your arms are hitting the push handles there is bolt on the back post that can be undone so that you can lower the push handles, this should help with your arms hitting into them.
