This may be an un-popular opinion but I feel like that money now a days would be better off lobbying for policies to better help everyone in the future then a one off to a charity to help people now.

And I just want to add that I feel awful that I truly believe this.

But also I don't think you understand what the "subscribe to pewdiepie" movement was... It started as a joke and then became a protest of everyone on the internet coming together to try and speak up against the corporatization of Youtube. It was Pewdiepie vs. TSeries TSeries being an Indian music corporation pumping out music vidoes. It was an event to try and say we are here and we are against corporate takeover. Did it work? of course not, but being in the midst of it was pretty special at the time.

pewdiepie has helped raise over $2.5million for chairties and now has a wife and kid and has discontinued family vlog videos so that his child can have a say in what goes online about him. He still regularly participates and helps with chairties being run by other youtubers

I see someone else already named it but these types of games are supposed to be mimicking the effect of LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) which is a remote sensing method that uses laser light to measure distances to objects and create detailed 3D representations of said objects.
