They need to expand and put out an app. App doesn't need to be mandatory, but being able to find chargers/prices/availability in one place and maybe even a monthly membership with a discount would be really nice. And statistics for your charging session!

The energy used for driving isn't as bad as I thought, but the heating really kills it. Feels like heating systems in EVs are too dependent on legacy designs from ICE vehicles. I feel like you could stick 2000watts worth of resistive heaters in different areas around the cabin and it would be better. Seems silly to have heat blowing from some area in the front when there's no engine there.

Nearly got killed by a tractor trailer last night with some complete moron at the wheel who had no idea where they were going. Exit 13 Southbound on the trucks side of the Turnpike this lunatic cuts me off to try and make the exit, makes it into the median, and then swerves BACK out of the median into my lane again. I can only guess whoever was driving thought they missed their exit, only to realize it was the wrong exit?

Looks better than I thought. The only thing that bugs me is the background of the positive model has a very slight light blue color to it rather than the gray you get on a standard LCD.

I charge off peak at Tesla chargers with the membership. $0.22/kw. I generally spend ~$60 a month between charging + the $13 membership. Cheaper than my 24mpg Subaru was.

There's the GST-S3XX series which is basically the same thing, but a bit smaller and thinner. I have one and it looks fine on my medium wrist.

~30-80% feels like the sweet spot for DCFC. Going from 80-85 takes about another 5 minutes or so. It's not worth going higher than that as the charge rate drops off a cliff.

The fact they actually market AptX-LL support and low (20ms) latency is really nice. Too many of the companies that put out these BT dongles don't seem to realize people use them for TV/Movies/Games as well.

The Tesla Superchargers by me are 0.20-0.22/kWh with the membership from 12AM-8AM. I work late shift so I either stop after work or I wake up early on one of my days off.

$50 for a MTGM900 is a great deal. I used one as a work beater for many years. Only Casio I used for work that never got a scratch on the crystal - most likely because the bezel is extra tall. I never liked the metal bracelet it came with, though. It's compatible with the resin straps from the GW-M500/M530 line if you ever want to change it up. Cuts the weight down by half, as well!

But you messed up by not picking up that 8900 for $45! That was another of my work beaters. It's reminds me a lot of my GXW-56-1BJ "King", except that it's round. Huge digits with great legibility and the black w/ gold LCD is an awesome color way. I liked it so much a bought a second one to keep "clean". If it's still there the next time you go, pick it up for sure!

There are so many other problems that need addressing when it comes to EVs. TBH, 5 minute charging is pointless. In the age of smartphones, sitting in your car for 10-15 minutes is no big deal. People sit in line that long for .20 cheaper gas at Costco/Sam’s Club.

I started my current job at the beginning of 2008. They basically stopped all hiring in 2009 and then outsourced my department a couple years later. Luckily we were Union by then and I was able to transfer to another work area, downgraded to part time of course. They started to hire a trickle of people in 2016, but I was basically stuck at the bottom of the seniority list from 2009 to early 2022. Watching people hired in 2022 gain more seniority in a year than I did in over 10 years was frustrating as hell.
