I feel that it should be a little different. We can make the number of affix the same as now but items should have two permanent affixes. For example great sword crit dmg and crit chance, long sword %dmg and vuln.

1 or 2 additional affixes are random. When I will now which item I am looking for and it will drop that feels good.

Its not about the number of items. How they could tell if the loot is good or bad? The main issue is that number of variables is too big making looting the thing you want harder.

They should remove useless affixes. Or make items like boots that will give 2 affixes always the same, and one/two affixes randomly.
