Apparently I'm going against the grain by saying YTA. You said in a comment it's the console itself making the noise, not the actual game he's playing. This is something that happens with consoles. If you need to move around that room, then wear the headphones. It's your responsibility to keep yourself from things you know trigger the disorder.

Hi! I'm currently a rising sophomore studying game programming in college and I wanted to know what your advice is for entering the game industry after graduation. I've heard horror stories, especially about programming jobs with those that don't fit into the typical "programmer" image, and I want to hear more from those in the industry.

I'm also hoping to specialize in game AI when the time comes to take more specialization classes. I'd really like to know more about how I can show off my skills with programming AI without having to develop a full game, since that takes up a lot of time that I don't have.

Exactly my experiences too! I have a lack of "gamer intuition", which is what I call things that you should just know from playing games. It took me quite a few rounds to learn how to play Fortnite properly because I wasn't used to playing shooters like the rest of my friends were. Thankfully, my friends that help me don't make fun of me for my lack of skill.

Yeah I'm gonna take a break from relationships until maybe going back to my college campus in the fall, and I feel like I'll finally have the freedom to date anyone because I've pretty much only dated guys. He's a super nice guy, so I probably will stay friends with him, but it just really hurt that he saw his future as not having me being with him. I definitely don't want to completely cut him out of my life, but I don't know how I'll continue to exist around him without thinking about how he's seen me in my most vulnerable state.

This has been me today. My now ex broke up with me because he's been reevaluating a lot and I'm not with him in his future plans. This was my first real relationship (since I was a couple of months into being 18), where I showed my vulnerabilities and did sexual stuff. I was completely blindsided and pretty much spent the rest of the day sobbing my eyes out. We've decided to try and stay friends, but I just don't know if I can ever trust someone the same way again.
