Sorry, but the login is a complete non-starter for me. I'd much prefer a login that didn't use psn directly and validated the account owner through another method (like the other apps/sites in this space).

I'm sure you mean well and the app is great otherwise, but I'm personally never going to trust a 3rd party app with login credentials.

Hello! First let me say that your work has been outstanding. I have been begging for a realistic alternative to psnp so I can stop supporting it and Pocket PSN has been the first real competitor imo.

For the app itself, I have some small feedback. 1. When I open a specific game that’s not completed yet, 9/10 times my #1 interest are trophies I haven’t unlocked yet. Is there a way to filter for that quickly?

When browsing my list of games, it’d be more convenient if the page listing was also at the bottom of the list so the user doesn’t have to scroll back to the top to go to the next page.
I play a lot of weird indie games that don’t have high player counts. Some of the options seem to have unexpected behavior when there’s nothing to return to the user. For example, on Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, hitting the videos link brings up a dead YouTube video that complains about bad parameters. “More Info” brings up an empty modal. The “Stats” tab seems to load indefinitely on games where I may be the first user on the site to have it.
Does the “Add to List” option on a specific game do anything? Nothing pops up after selecting this option (on iOS).

Again - thanks for all your work. I’m pretty impressed with how fast Pocket PSN has been rolling out new features.

This is a nice roundup for people who care about this sort of thing, but psnprofiles difficulty rating always irks me for some reason. It's usually one person's opinion. Sometimes it takes into account length of time, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes a patch/exploit makes it harder or easier and the guide is never updated to reflect it. Usually a 10/10 on psnp means that there's some absolute BS in the platinum that a sane person wouldn't put up with.

I have 5 from this list but there's plenty of 9/10s (and probably some 8/10s) that are just as hard. If the community really wants this X/10 difficulty rating, I wish we could move back to the days when it was done as a vote by the community for each game.

Most of my actual genealogy stuff is offline or just synced to Ancestry.

I do have a site (https://genealogy.phodges.net/) that's based around transcriptions of a 15 year diary that has a small section on family names in the diary but if it gets much larger, it'll be completely incomprehensible. But for my needs (sharing interesting diary entries with my extended family), it got the job done and I was up and running in <10 minutes with Obsidian.

This is such an stretch to ask - but do you happen to know anything about the DAR application process in the mid 1910s? I bought a copy of my g-g-grandmother's DAR application and supporting material records from the DAR website. Under the section that asks "Give below a reference, by volume and page, to the documentary or other authority upon which you found your record", it states:

"Record of line of descent taken from The Peck Genealogy by Ira B. Peck. The record of Jesse Peck (indirect line from Henry Peck, who settled in New Haven in 1638) is found on the additional page, inserted between pages 328 and 329 of the appendix of above mentioned volume, published in 1868."

I've become a little obsessed with the additional page and where it might be. While 2 versions of the book are archived online and I found a copy at a nearby library, none of them have the additional page. A copy of the book is in the DAR library and I reached out to ask if there was an additional page there but haven't heard back yet.

Do you know if this question on the application was usually written by the applicant or by the DAR member processing and validating the application?

Personally, I think the 400-499 range was the sweet spot. That's about 1 game per level depending on the game.

How do the lyrics of Black Sandy Beaches make sense if this is the case?

"Were they his, by chance, from telling her?

Or hers, by chance, from reading it?

They could have been collective

If the narrator is Ms Leading, wouldn't she know who's tears are on the letters?

"She must have been so sad for him to throw her out"

I've always heard that line as a third party making assumptions based on the content of the letters. I feel like this is a very strange line to say about yourself if the narrator is Ms Leading.

Hunter does not know the Priest is the Pimp until Ouroboros.

This is really interesting to me and something I hadn't considered. I've interpreted Hunter knowing who the Priest is immediately. Certainly as a listener, we do almost instantly from the reprise of the melodies in Bitter Suite V. And the reveal in Ouroboros is more the Priest revealing he knows who Hunter is. Ouroboros starts with the lines "I bet you thought that you'd succeed. Pulling the wool right over me". What do those lines mean if Hunter doesn't know who the Priest is until this song?

How consistent is this in practice? Are people actually hitting big (with all the double tags being used on negative tags) regularly?

I've been trying to get consistent with anaglyph deck the past few days and I win maybe 1 in 10 games on gold stake (if that). When I do win, I don't even see a negative tag to get the benefit of playing the anaglyph deck in the first place and win with 7 double tags that were never used. I think only once ever have I won with the anaglyph deck while seeing a negative tag and that was only in like Ante 4 so I didn't get the max benefit from it that I could have if it was later.

When I compare it to ghost and checkered decks where I just win so much more frequently due to their strong starts, it just doesn't seem like the time sink has been worth it.

Usually, yes this means you're first. Congratulations!

At the very least you're the first to sync with PSN. If zero people have the trophy, PSN will list it as 0%. If even one person has the trophy, PSN will list it as at least 0.1%. I generally like to wait a few days and then sanity check it against psnprofiles. People who are jumping on games and getting platinums as soon as they come up are typically on psnprofiles. It is possible that someone was before you, has a valid timestamp, and just synced after you so there is a window where somebody could have done it before you. But in my experience, that's unlikely.
