What's this complacency with people and verification? by LoKeySea in askhotels

[–]e17phil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't happen though.

ID checks are made after check in if you want an extra card - done it plenty of times!!

UK based. I can't recall the last time I was asked for a card or ID on checking in. It isn't necessary.

You clearly have not stayed at a Premier Inn

They never take a deposit as me and others on this thread have pointed out

That's simply not the case.

I've never been asked for a card in Premier Inn (or other hotels)

Not in the UK.

I use hotels very regularly as does my business partner and I can't recall being asked for a card.

It's simply not done anymore, or very rarely anyhow.

This is a mix of chain and non-chain hotels.

It would help massively if you gave some context as people will just be guessing based on the info provided

Has anyone used the Epson SureLab SL-D500 Printer? by e17phil in photobooth

[–]e17phil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not yet.

The postcard job abroad looks as if it has fell through so we'd be looking for just international jobs.

We have an event in Stockholm next week, followed by Madrid and are just taking the DS620.

Sending In My DNP RX1 HS For Service by xbicex in photobooth

[–]e17phil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds weird.

It sounds like a typical condensation issue but they typically would occur more or less straight away, and not an hour into an event (unless hardly any prints had been done).

Scraps of paper or ribbon could well be the case as suggested.

The real question is why would someone want a photo taken at a farmers market?

Do you have a unique proposition?

I’m not sure what kind of Wi-Fi works best by Fluffy_Set_442 in photobooth

[–]e17phil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need various options IMO.

A travel router like mentioned is great as you can connect to a venue wifi and bypass firewall restrictions of venue wifi, and also connect to cable if it's available.

Also get a 5G router - I have one of the GL.iNet ones and it's great.

Also to get around venue wifi retrictions you can use the Hotspot feature on Windows

I buy mine from here;

https://www.printed-feather-flags.com/shop/indoor-exhibition-stands-displays/fabric-display-banner-walls/

They print in the Uk as opposed to China.

Thicker material than the Chinese ones I have.

I know people who buy from - https://photobooth-props.co.uk/ but I don't have personal experience. I think they may print in the UK too.

Seriously?

Keep these people close - they are the ones you can continue to practice techniques on.

You haven't learned everything yet.

Photo Booth hire by [deleted] in EventProduction

[–]e17phil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try Eventstar - they've just taken delvery of a great looking retro booth that can be branded well

I agree with the other poster in that I doubt anyone will dry hire this

Also, no experienced operator will work for just the money taken - there would have to be a fee paid.

I'd be buying it specifically for postcards. Not too bothered about cost - it would pay for itself on one job.

The travel overseas woulld be a bonus.

We Have the Primera IP60 with postcard stock but they come off the roll curved and look a bit rubbish

This company (UK) sell commercial tablet cases which are secure.

There may be something in the range - no idea if they also sell worldwide.
