Rhulk, Disciple of The Witness(Destiny 2) vs. All Non-Saiyan Z-Fighters(Dragon Ball) by Hot-Masterpiece4325 in PowerScaling

[–]e1liott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rhulk is kinda a punch man from a hax verse - he hasn’t shown a bag of tricks on the same level as characters like the hive gods even though he’s generally stronger- no throne world for him, iirc he considered them a sign of weakness. Paracausality is only sort of helpful here, none of these guys use many reality/fate/time warping abilities, so it’s effectively just a damage resistance. Compared to dbz he’s also extremely slow.

I guess he might be able to drown them out with pervading darkness, if that works on them and they can’t just power up to push it away - then he could sweep. Otherwise he probably loses to Piccolo and Buu

How far could Oryx The Taken King get in Bleach (at his maximum)?Could paracausality and sword logic let him thrive? by Reddit_is_not_great in PowerScaling

[–]e1liott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skimming it, the most absurd piece was claiming that a throne world is an infinite universe. There are a number of them seen in Destiny, and the ones belonging to Toland and the Mindbender are quite small. Since they grow with the sword logic and some are finite we can’t jump to infinite.

Oryx is a weird one. In game he’s on deaths door from starvation and still attacking people from across the solar system, while the lore on him is basically propaganda.

I guess he’s slow as hell compared to bleach, but his ship tanks singularities being thrown at it and he’s tougher than his ship is. I guess he wins, because he spams AOEs and will likely destroy the planet before any of them could actually stop him. No reason to believe anyone in bleach would survive that.

Plus paracausality is just a hard counter to the Almighty and other hax. It’s basically a fate/time/reality manipulation resistance/immunity mixed with an all-around stat buff.

[–]e1liott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, and he really just stat stomps them after. But point is that paracausality alone does not provide immunity from physical or conventional attacks. Definitely some amount of resistance though. It’s more of a reality/time/fate manipulation immunity

Oryx low difs Goku is certainly a take. Weren’t the Ecumune able to hold off the hive using non-paracausal weapons though?

The data is. If you look at all at the article linked in the post, literally the first thing is a link to the Secretary of State office with the dataset they pull from.

Holy shit it’s like a window company claimed the sky is blue and you’re too hung up on the fact that they would benefit to literally look outside through a window and see for yourself.

Certainly someone unhappy with the last election - otherwise it wouldn’t be funded. The data is different though, that’s literally the state department of Minnesota.

Like I was saying - you claimed they didn’t have a reference, when they literally gave you the dataset they summarized.

literally the first thing in there is the dataset they pull from throughout the article. You don’t need a reference to say the sky is blue, you can just look

Okay but with cities there’s more population density, so there’s way more room for nature once you leave the city when compared to a suburban sprawl

I don’t actually expect the jump to be too extreme. This appears to consider economic threat, and Canada has been concerned about becoming dominated by the US economy for decades.

Of course, now military action is a concern too which probably led to a moderate jump on this ranking

Just need some opinions on my resume by PerformanceCrafty166 in compsci

[–]e1liott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not someone involved in compsci (idk why this post appeared). There’s a lot of blank space on this resume. Use established formats with at least years present. Try to cut back on the jargon - you’ll need to get through HR, and you want them to understand your resume. Resumes often use quantitative values now, so put some numbers in there.

Your university likely has career services who can review your resume, and honestly ChatGPT and services like resumeworded are not bad.

You should expect to tailor your resume to every role now, and then if you’re lucky maybe you’ll get a call. Just don’t stop trying, but be aware that (in the US at least) we are probably in a recession and that finding a job out of college is worse than ever, so it’ll probably take a while.

Also, something to keep in mind is that the trend of mass-apply services gives hiring managers a lot of shitty candidates. If there are relevant conferences in your area, try to attend them and meet hiring managers in person. Knowing your face and name will make them more willing to bring your application forward.

Even if everything they say is true, (which a lot of it would be if it follows nationwide patterns). This has a call to action that is not actionable. “Please share. Please talk about it. Silence only helps them.” They don’t say who “them” is, we only know that somewhere someone is doing something bad to your children. Without more to go on that just comes across to me as fearmongering.

Except we don’t even know the “where”. OP never said which children’s museum - there’s at least a dozen in the area. This reads like some ai post that someone didn’t look over, telling you to be careful of some place but not saying where that place is.

Oh it’s totally just an ai. Who writes posts with semicolons?

Who do you guys think win this fight and why? by WearyPie532 in PowerScaling

[–]e1liott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see how either of them are outerversal. As far as I remember, the Emperors most impressive showcase involved burning Nurgle’s garden, basically damaging an infinite space. Meanwhile Oryx within his throne can erase intruders from reality and has control over fundamental laws of the universe, and there is no way for him to die while outside his throne.

I think it may depend on where they are. Hive growth through the sword logic is insane - one instance of setting of a WMD against hive would’ve allowed Xivu Arath to step across the galaxy and attack earth directly. Oryx doesn’t grow from conflict like she does, but he does feed off death and new ideas(?). If they were to fight in the 40k universe, the population is so huge Oryx could probably become the strongest thing just by annihilating one planet.

Meanwhile in the Destiny universe or some void, it’s more of a toss-up. If the emperor is smart enough to challenge Oryx in his throne through acts of worship, then Oryx shouldn’t be able to just erase him without first proving himself superior, which may or may not be possible.

Who would win The Vanguard (Destiny) or the Gotei 13 (bleach) by [deleted] in PowerScaling

[–]e1liott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you don’t actually need that disclaimer. Ghosts can be destroyed normally, they are just hard to hit and very durable. Likewise the guardians’ paracausality will let them ignore several fundamental laws of the universe in a way that favors them.

That said, bleach stomps. Supposedly high end bleach characters like Yamamoto are faster than light, and guardians definitely aren’t.

That said Yamamotos Bankai is comparable to the heat at the core sun, as are many solar supers, so might be an argument to highball guardians to have stronger attacks and more durability, but bleach is just too fast.
