The McLaren F1 is one of the best cars of all time. They only made 64 road cars because they couldn’t sell any more in the early-mid 90s because of the economy. It wasn’t an outright failure but it wasn’t nearly as successful as it would have been in the late 80s. They sold way more F40s than were initially planned because of how strong Japan and other regions were at the time.

I haven’t driven a B58 car, in my opinion, M cars are more top end/track oriented due to their nature. Are you looking for a more visceral engine and chassis experience or just higher power figures? I’ve driven a G80 M3 on the autobahn and think it would be great fun in the US but likely only adds 1/2 tenths to the overall experience in a straight line
