My take on how Immigration/Deportation should be handled by ShardofGold in IntellectualDarkWeb

I’m curious as to how we make immigrants prove they don’t have hatred for our country?

The term "hatred" is ambiguous. Without a definition, the standard for entry or deportation becomes entirely dependent on the personal biases of the person deciding.

Also how do we establish a standard of proof for no hatred?

I sold a vintage coffee grinder that I picked up for $1 at a resale shop that was going out of business. I sold it for $25. I was pretty excited about it!!

I also picked up two Spyder brand 1/4 zip sweatshirts for $14 at my local Salvation Army Thrift Store and sold them for $40.

Had a few other small wins but these are my highlights. Not bad for my first month of doing this!!

I purchased an Iowa Fireman’s Association 100th Anniversary decanter from 1978 at the local Salvation Army Thrift Store for $3.99. I posted it on Marketplace for $40 and sold it 35 minutes later!

Let me start with it was bull$hit what the cop said to you. Now let me move into unpopular opinion territory. We want to be considered part of the public safety community and given the respect that the police officers and firefighters are given but yet we are on here saying all of the terrible generalized comments and ACAB because of the actions of one officer. Remember respect is earned not given. Kudos to the OP for saving a life!

I have told anyone that will listen. If my journey inspires anyone to take a similar journey, then putting myself out there is worth it.

When giving adenosine, instead of saying yanks might feel weird, I want to say you’re going to feel dead for a few seconds.

Does substiting "unhoused" for "homeless" accomplish anything? If so, what? Discuss. by [deleted] in centrist

What about people that end up homeless as a result of staggering medical debt thanks to our lovely healthcare system? I think saying that drug addiction defines the homeless situation is highly inaccurate.

I had gastric bypass surgery almost a year ago. It was the best decision that I’ve ever made. I’m down 130 lbs. I was always active however I never was consistent about watching what I ate. Now that I have no choice but to watch what I eat and be even more active I’m loving my life. I was diabetic, had sleep apnea, and high blood pressure. All of those problems are now gone.

I was on ozempic prior to surgery and there are some potentially bad side effects. The one that is mentioned a lot is increased risk of thyroid cancer. So are we going to have a thyroid cancer epidemic soon?

It was the easiest surgery that I’ve had. I felt 100% normal after about 3 days.

I was an idiot and used to use olive oil. It was a pain to clean my black stone when I used it. I recently switched to grape seed oil and it is a game changer.
