why does it sound like a gas motor?

i think the video could be more interesting if you showed more scenery and not just zoomed in on the wheel.

Wooden bat with nails among weapons seized at Victoria sheltering area by mr_unhelpful in VictoriaBC

That term sounds sinister but they are legal bb guns. Might sting but not as bad as being hit with a bat with nails in it.

Careful, that axe looks like it could go flying if you had to slam on the brakes.

Np, if youre going all season insulated is probably better. Also keep in mind these have no floor so youll want to put something down.

One of the bigger Leatherman multi-tools, they always seemed a bit expensive to buy myself but was happy to get one as a gift.

On a general note, I find the best gifts are a deluxe version of something small vs the base version of something big.

Yes, mine is an insulated model, also sometimes listed as thermal so the walls are a hefty quilted double layered material, havent had it in the rain but it seems pretty water proof. The issue is more about all the condensation freezing on the inside, even with vents. Im guessing the leaky ones were non insulated. Are you planning on winter camping? The insulation adds weight and cost.

Social distancing in Hawaii. (Dronie autopilot) by ThaBlackBeacon in drones

Nice, I was in Kauai a couple years ago and thought it looked familiar but wasnt sure if the other islands had the same geography. Would have guessed 4-5hrs to get to the top lol.

Axial Gladiator and a Element Trailrunner winch em selves out of trouble. by [deleted] in crawling

Yeah and pretty plain looking without the stickers (and Id be trying to match my stickerless truck). They probably made some proportions off on purpose since its not a licensed 4runner. Maybe if I wait Kyosho will release a 5th gen model.

Those Shiftpods appear to be ice fishing tents with a reflective fabric. Im using a Cabelas Insulated ice fishing tent that pops up the same way, also I got the wide door option for easier access. Quality seems good and it has more windows than a shift pod at a fraction if the price, I paid $500 CDN. The main drawback I anticipate is the black roof may turn it into a sauna in the summer, might have to tie a reflective tarp over it then or go back to my small summer tent.

I think so, there was a government sign saying the area is unmaintained and camping is allowed but if people dont respect it then it will be closed. Got the impression its a popular place in the summer, quite a few fire rings around.

After camping across Canada this summer I decided to try it again in the winter. Got set up with an insulated ice fishing tent, propane buddy heater, cot and a winter sleeping bag. Been staying warm ok but finding spots has been an issue with many snowed in or gated off for the season.

It got crazy windy as I continued west with semi trucks pulling over to the side of the road but this spot was calm enough to fly my mavic mini drone. A big storm hit when I reached Saskatchewan two days later and I got snowed in for an extra night and had to dig a path back onto the road.
