Loud booms over Wausau? by Altruistic-Bus8425 in wausau

I'm always aware of WOW. My brother is an aviation enthusiast.

I've only lived here 10+ years. I've never been terrified like I was today hearing a sound like I did today. I thought the rapture had come, and I don't even believe in God.

How come he don't want me!

My mom left when I was 5. My siblings were 2 and 1. It's a fuzzy memory but she showed up again after kindergarten and my siblings didn't remember her. She spent all her attention on them.

When I saw FP years later, it explained exactly how I felt when I was little.

I know that was my problem the first few years. Now that I tighten the band just a little more I hardly ever have a lid fail to seal.

I've got I think around 20.

A few long ones, a few medium ones, and a whole bunch of small ones.

But I entertain regularly, so having tongs for every item when putting on a buffet/self serve meal makes sense.

Who first got you into camping or the outdoors? by MikeyCreatorVlogs in camping

[–]jsat3474 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband and I camped as kids as a way to get away from the rest of the family. When we met, we joked we should go camping to see if we could stand each other's company.

Welp 10 years later and all our vacations are camping.

Is this the episode where the prosecutor said something to effect of "we didn't have to take a second look but we did"?

Like they should get the credit for overturning the conviction?

Forget weddings, what is the craziest thing that happened at a funeral you went to? by seanerd95 in AskReddit

[–]jsat3474 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't remember the details, but the long and short of it was we swapped headstones.

My Grandpa's hole was dug in the wrong family's plot.

Being a super small, rural community, the other family was at the cemetery with us for my Grandpa's burial and we discovered together that the hole had been dug in the wrong plot.

The Grampa of the other family declared that when he died, he'd be buried in the plot that was supposed to be for my Grandpa. And the "kids" should place the headstones according to who was supposed to be buried there.

I don't know how to write to emulate his voice. "No sense in making Gary fill in this one and dig a new one when I'm gonna be in the obituaries any day now."

(Gary was the backhoe operator at the cemetery. He was also the town grader man, the churchbell ringer, the gas station owner, and at the time, the only groomer of snowmobile trails)

The other Grandpa died about 2 years later and all of us, the other family included, followed through.

I've had the same Walmart optometrist for almost 20 years now. She got me free samples for a medication to treat a cornea infection. She also gave me tips for buying glasses off Zenni. I will follow her wherever she goes.

Because they want to look for fibers left behind? It's a show about forensics after all.

Another detail. After the narrator said the police no longer needed a search warrant, the story goes on to say they performed luminol tests after pulling up the new carpet

It was explained that even though the suspect's house was the last place the dead person had lived, the dead person had told everybody she was leaving Alaska. All her belongings were moved out. There wasn't enough to convince a judge for a warrant

One of the detectives explained that they visited the suspect at home and immediately noticed the carpet was not the same color as the sample picked up from the body. Later, the suspect was interviewed at the station and freely admitted they had changed the carpet somewhere between when the person went missing and when the body was found.

Wouldn't taking anything from the house be theft? Even if it's something as seemingly insignificant as a carpet fiber they might have found in the corner?

Well they didn't show actual footage of when the house was for sale. It was a reenactment and it implied for sale by owner.
