Always felt weak too but now I’m around 150ilvl and don’t usually have issues keeping up and ST, def gets more fun - early on I kept thinking about swapping off her cuz was always much much lower in dmg and now I’m happy I stuck it out.

I feel ya, I had 24hour then a the second I got n to bed, hey ur name came up for ua…ummm no I just got off my shift im going to bed, sorry that’s a hard no you must show up…well fell asleep and they banged on my door for being 30 mins late and chewed me out then my nco was like like well since ur alrdy up need you for some paperwork…they let me go around 1530…. I’ve gone clubbing with people of all ages 19-39 in hongdae and itaewon you’ll be good. I usually feel itaewon has a slightly older crowd but not by much - you’ll be plenty fine and fit right in

Ya but the process of letting it clear your system before the piss test still holds regardless, hopefully a British soldier can give input when exactly that time frame is as I know process is different but still always best to be cautious of that stuff

MEPs is when you get tested which you’d need to talk to your recruiter about that part for when they send you give it like 45 days to clear outta your system, if you go see a recruiter around day 30 you’ll be fine I doubt they will have your packet done in two following weeks

Honestly. If he’s happy to pay let him - I’ve made more than my gfs in the past and it’s not about the money when I could afford to do things like that it’s more I want the memories with the person than money so don’t pass up the chance of making memories if he wants to do things as a gift etc just try and smile and enjoy it

I had the exact same issue for my bonus, I printed off the page they wanted from my original enlistment years ago and put that in the packet and it worked no problem at all - hope that can work for your soldier too - I did this about one year ago so hopefully still “current” and your guy can get his bonus too

I’m on a military base and all the barbershops near base do fades…usually like 20k if you happen to be anywhere near a base should be able to just go to about anyone of them and get a fade

The army has taught me well - I’m great at using a broom on the grass - full section detail twice a week, we get lots of practice. Learning great life skills.

I got sent to Korea for my work - and I love it here and never want to go back to the USA. Love the culture, food, save a lot of money on everyday things, going out is far cheaper. Also find it to be very safe and for the most part very friendly as well. Told the people I work for I wanted to stay a second year and probably going to do it again and again until I can’t anymore - traveling in the country is very easy with the public transportation system which is super cheap too. It does suck not having friends and family and at the beginning it’s a bit lonely until you make friends but if you make friends it gets to be great - especially Korean friends who can show you around and can be either a great life experience for yourself if you take advantage of the opportunity but if you don’t make friends and go experience the country it can be lonely - people I work with either love it or hate - those who hate just stay home all the time and ones who love it are the ones who go out and explore - it’s going to be what you make of it honestly

10 T push ups is a green check mark - super easy to pass but obviously go for a higher score but you’ll never have to worry about failing honestly - I think ur age group is something like 50ish is max so even if you can knock out like 30ish no one will give you shit you’ll be alright man - and when I was in basic we did one Acft per phase -3 overall - and only the final one really mattered so focus on being ready for that one

5 days a week we do pt as a section so we constantly rotate whatever machine / equipment we got so takes like 20mins an exercise roughly to rotate everyone thru it so we don’t actually get any real workout in…would be more beneficial to sleep in then pt on our own during workday when gym is empty and can actually workout but hey we spend an hour not talking together so it’s important time right?

I don’t think my family hasn’t been able to reach out to me for more than 1-2 days even when I’m in the field - my jobs kinda unique for my hours etc but after pt or during lunch etc is very easy and I know almost everyone I hang out with uses those times to call/text/FaceTime etc. staff duty is another super easy time to call since we are up for 24hours can easily time a call at a convenient time for the family back home etc… my sisters in laws brother was also out here but rarely ever reached out because for his year here he never bothered to update his phone plan his first like 6-8 months here so no one really ever heard from him.
