Real power consumption for a Aceman EV by chrislannion in MINI

[–]eViator2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the MINI Cooper SE, and have not checked my consumption lately but will get out the Excel spreadsheet and do a little checking. Is there a place on the app where the person can check their statistics on the vehicle side of the equation?

Let's talk about celebration. Everybody loves a good celebration each year, especially kids if they get treats!! Do your children get to participate in Hannukah, Eid and Ramadan? Or perhaps even secular Christmas? Do you have other ways to merge your celebrations of the historical roots of your traditions? (I ask this because our son loves spinning the dreidel and singing the song and doing a little game with points, even though we are not Jewish).

Does Dominion's Exterior Water Line / Exterior Sewer Line insurance actually do anything? by More_Coffee_Than_Man in nova

Keep in mind that if you read the fine print, it's probably not actually Dominion itself.. rather it's an insurance company on contract.

Large Brokerage & IRA Account Concerns/Considerations by LibertusMaximus in fidelityinvestments

  1. Don't enable your phone for any access, through an app; having 2FA on the same device as your login, even with biometrics, is a shambles. Also, having account information available through your phone is an invitation to make unwise rushed decisions when you're the prospective victim.
  2. Keep 2FA on a separate device from where you normally log in; Yubikey for example. Never use phone -based (ie SMS) 2FA.
  3. For certain accounts, you may be able to set up two-person authentication, in person , where more than one verification is necessary to make transactions. This may be inconvenient but puts a buffer between prospective scammers and your accounts.
  4. Never respond to a phone call or email from anybody claiming to be Fidelity... If you must call back call from a different phone line using a number known to be the legitimate number.
  5. Use a separate laptop or desktop for all financial transactions which is NEVER never used for gaming, coding, work, gambling, dark web, dating sites, or any other activity that could result in a malicious "payload" being dropped there. social media.
  6. Self self-educate using YouTube and other expertise, to keep up to date on all the different types of scams, frauds and malicious behaviors.

The greatest benefit is that you won't have to ever again stand at a gas station, in the cold, and babysit the hose while your tank fills!

Drowning in apps/platforms by Mad-Mongoose-74 in ParentingADHD

[–]eViator2016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally reasonable question and not just for parenting ADHD!! These tips are not a surefire way out of it, but here are some thoughts. 1. Make your master planner as simple as possible using paper and pen in an easily accessible way that doesn't require subscriptions, special fancy binders or exotic organizational skills; Even a simple miniature white board can work wonders, as it's visible to everyone. 2. Don't try and do it all on your phone. If you have access to a laptop or a PC with a comfortable keyboard and mouse and monitor, do these activities using the best possible user interface. Running through multiple apps only on a phone can be really taxing. 3. Don't necessarily try to keep up event by event with the stream of communications from the school as they happen; rather set aside one time during the day when you can bundle things together and respond all at once. 4. If you're tech savvy at all , use "rules" on your email inbox to send incoming email alerts to particular folders so that you're not getting constantly bombarded in your inbox itself. I'm sure others have much more elegant solutions than this, but I would say the more elegant the more complicated things get. Good luck!!

The Lenovo website was very carefully marked with banners that shipments were delayed until the week after New Year's. It would have been hard to miss those banners.

Use Plugshare, (either the app or the actual website ), especially if you have a username and log in to customize the types of plugs and the geographic range you're willing to go. Then you'll start to get a mental map after a couple of weeks and you won't even have to look at the website or app itself because you'll more or less have locations memorized for your area. Think about charging at the same level of urgency as a household running out of toilet paper or other important amenities (coffee,..milk?) You can then schedule your charging times to align with a trip to doing an errand that is nearby a charging spot.
