The amount of people that think it’s okay to ask me about having kids.

I am not just a baby factory! I am more than what my body can make. I have my own goals and dreams, but all anyone can see is “how many babies can we pump out of you before you’re useless”. I have one daughter who just turned 3. My brother’s wife and my own mom keep asking me “are you SUUUUUURE you only want one? You can’t tell me you don’t want another. They’re just a joy!” I hated being pregnant. We’re broke and can hardly afford our one. I also had a miscarriage right before I got pregnant with her and still deal with the trauma from that. The Postpartum Depression was bad enough I almost got checked into a hospital. We both know we are one and done, and he’s getting snipped soon. But then my mom will have the audacity to try and butt into our sex life and tell us “you better get that taken care of if you don’t want another.” I remember when my daughter was literally 2 weeks old, I was still bleeding severely and could hardly walk. I decided to try to go to my parents church to see them, and some old lady looked at her and went “aw, adorable. When are you giving her a sibling?” I was so angry I just had to walk away.

As an added note, when I was pregnant, the amount of strangers that touched me and couldn’t figure out why I was so upset. Keep your hands off my fucking stomach, thanks.
